1.
Megabump for a great job!
Thanks Nate...still here though!!
 2. Will bought my vintage Fender speaker columns, after driving some way in heavy rain, top man, would recommend anyone to do buisness with him, nice 'n easy. Thanks Will, glad to see the old stacks finally being used as intended. If I had the space, I'd be doing the same for sure, they're very, very cool!!
 3.
And Rick, I hope you aren't slagging off my new Mex FSR Sea foam green dude, beauty, beholder etc. Especially hurtful as I adore ALL of yours .
Not at all, it was the purple thing shown in the first few posts. Sea foam green is a very rare fender custom colour, especially on a bass, therefore Sir, I approve! The purple one looks like a 3rd year woodwork project, where not only did they get an E-, they also mis-cut the pickup route in the pearl pickguard, and instead of doing it again, just stuck a patch piece on the top....i could go on of course, but we'll leave it there. It reminds me of my sons vomit of some years ago after drinking too much Ribena, and then vomitting on the rug, athough thinking about it, the vomit was more aesthetically pleasing!
 4. I've just seen this thread, and have to say I think its absolutely disgusting, truly horrible.....and thats just the bass!! Seriously though (Actually i was being serious!), that behavious sucks, and you're clearly better off out of it, and the whole of facebook for that matter, as has been mentioned, real lives are much more fun!
 5.
Lovely looking bass. The sunburst is nice, too. How does it play?
Thanks, that's why i selected this body, because the sunburst was exactly the correct shade, contrast etc, not as easy to find as you might think. It plays very much like my real one, lovely smooth neck, light bass at 8lb, great response from the pickups (Raised A poles), it's a real vintage sound, very muddy, authentic tone. despite the fact its a maple neck, tone-wise, its very James Jameson'y (Or maybe it just needs new strings! ). It's as authentic, both in looks, feel, and sound, as you will get, without spending £10k+. Where are you based?, if you're local...ish, and interested, pop in for a test drive, better bring some cash though, because once you see and play it, you won't wanna leave without it!
 6.
Is the body Nitro?
Don't think so.
 7.
I think this is absolutely amazing, just a pity I can't afford it. I love the attention to detail.
Thanks man, appreciate the comment.
 8. Following some requests, here's some pics of the raised pole pickups, they are from an '82 JV '57 reissue, very hard to find;
 9.
Hmmmm. Well we could talk swop for some of those first basses in our collection.
Nice try!
 10. Nice cab, great price too, if i had a suitable head, i'd be interested, in peterborough too at the moment.
 11. Still here, going on 'The Bay' soon....
 12. Gil
Is That Euro's or Gilders
Gilders I hope! Pics please!, sounds like a goodie...
 13. Fantastic, one of the best 'salvage' stories I've seen, lovely bass, crminal work done, and commendable restoration work, hats off to you for taking on the Project, many others would have 'parted' it out, and it would have been lost forever. Fair play indeed! Now, how much do you want for it!
 14.
Hate sunburst, hate relicing, love this.
Thanks Wayne, I think that's a compliment
 15.

Still here bump, £875 cash, all -in, Custom Shop case, all the tags and catalogs etc.
16.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Blocks have no place on a precision, or a tele, or a strat or anything apart from a jazz bass, jazz master or jaguar. Apart from gibsons.
I'm with this, as most will know, I'm quite the traditionalist when it comes to basses, blocks should be left for Jazzes, they should be pearl, either on maple, ala Marcus Miller, but then it only works if the bass is blonde or natural, or preferably on Rosewood.......classic. Black blocks on maple, just doesnt work, on any level for me, never seen a nice one. It's great that we're all different though, even if some of you are wrong!!
 17.
£5K for a transition P is a lot of money in this market. The 'celebrity owned' reference adds very little to the value unless there's a stack of authentication &, ideally, some recorded songs and/or videos with it. Definitely over-priced either way. . .
They have a letter from Larry Taylor, and videos are available on youtube etc for all to see. I've seen those videos though, and I think its a different bass, there is a distinctive mark on the one at Woody, and it ain't on the bass listed??
 18. Beautiful. If I had space, I'd be very interested in this! Good luck with the sale.
