1.
Pretty amazing job you've done on this bass man! Sexy Hope the someone who buys it really appreciates it. I'm envious of them. sidenote: can you wait until the end of the month until I get paid?
Which month? Thanks for the kind words. Even if it go's back in the rack, it will probably still be available, i'll just stop bumping it around! Cheers
 2.
till it gets sacrificed in fire?
Now there's a photo!!
 3. Both are 'right' IMO, and Leo's of course, but it depends on the pickguard also. 3TSB Rosewood and tort guard is classic on P's & J's 3TSB Maple Precision, gold guard is also classic they do feel very different though, so playing it alone will decide for you. Black guards on sunburst is just wrong!
 4.
Hi Richard, Atleast I have my trusty old 1965 p-bass still thats doing a more then ok job atm:D You can see it standing next to the SIlvertone in the pics... Regards, Bram
Oh I saw it all'right!! Looks fab, right up my street!
 5. Bram, Have a bump on me for a very rare bass, seldom seen these days. How's the J coming along?, is it back together yet? Rick
 6.
I seem to remember it going for about £15K, so that would have been in dollars?
You may be right, although I know a few serious collectors who have been looking for this bass for many years, and if it went for £15K then they would have pounced, none of them have any recollection of seeing it for sale before?
 7. Back-in-the-rack-on-saturday, type bump
 8. Serious bass, definitely didnt sell for $15k before though. Stunning, and rarest of the rare.
 9. OK, last few days, then its either going on The Bay, or back in the rack, undecided. It's too good to sell any cheaper than I'm asking, in fact, compared with other comparable Fender stuff around the £700 mark,if anything, its underpriced, but no-one wants it, so needs must.
 10.
Megabump for a great job!
Thanks Nate...still here though!!
 11. Will bought my vintage Fender speaker columns, after driving some way in heavy rain, top man, would recommend anyone to do buisness with him, nice 'n easy. Thanks Will, glad to see the old stacks finally being used as intended. If I had the space, I'd be doing the same for sure, they're very, very cool!!
 12.
And Rick, I hope you aren't slagging off my new Mex FSR Sea foam green dude, beauty, beholder etc. Especially hurtful as I adore ALL of yours .
Not at all, it was the purple thing shown in the first few posts. Sea foam green is a very rare fender custom colour, especially on a bass, therefore Sir, I approve! The purple one looks like a 3rd year woodwork project, where not only did they get an E-, they also mis-cut the pickup route in the pearl pickguard, and instead of doing it again, just stuck a patch piece on the top....i could go on of course, but we'll leave it there. It reminds me of my sons vomit of some years ago after drinking too much Ribena, and then vomitting on the rug, athough thinking about it, the vomit was more aesthetically pleasing!
 13. I've just seen this thread, and have to say I think its absolutely disgusting, truly horrible.....and thats just the bass!! Seriously though (Actually i was being serious!), that behavious sucks, and you're clearly better off out of it, and the whole of facebook for that matter, as has been mentioned, real lives are much more fun!
 14.
Lovely looking bass. The sunburst is nice, too. How does it play?
Thanks, that's why i selected this body, because the sunburst was exactly the correct shade, contrast etc, not as easy to find as you might think. It plays very much like my real one, lovely smooth neck, light bass at 8lb, great response from the pickups (Raised A poles), it's a real vintage sound, very muddy, authentic tone. despite the fact its a maple neck, tone-wise, its very James Jameson'y (Or maybe it just needs new strings! ). It's as authentic, both in looks, feel, and sound, as you will get, without spending £10k+. Where are you based?, if you're local...ish, and interested, pop in for a test drive, better bring some cash though, because once you see and play it, you won't wanna leave without it!
 15.
Is the body Nitro?
Don't think so.
 16.
I think this is absolutely amazing, just a pity I can't afford it. I love the attention to detail.
Thanks man, appreciate the comment.
 17. Following some requests, here's some pics of the raised pole pickups, they are from an '82 JV '57 reissue, very hard to find;
