They're made for 5 string basses. Not familiar with the Peavey C5. Don't most Peavey bass pickups usually have 'wings' (mounting points) in similar positions to jazz bass pickups?

I bought these here a couple of months back for my Lakland 55-01, but having used the bass quite a bit recently I'm happy enough with the standard Barts. These look brand new, but have been used (although not by me - I think they originally belonged to niceguyhomer and came to me via sshorepunk who didn't use them as they were the wrong string spacing for him). Dual coil p/ups, made by Nordstrand, very highly rated and around £260 / pair -ish! From Nordstrand:- [i]"This is a modern design dual coil humbucking pickup. Pickups like these are usually found on very high end basses. They use Alnico V magnets and the traditional bi-pole layout with two poles per string. It's almost like two Jazz Bass® style pickups in one cover. These pickups are available in two different versions. One set is designed to be wired in parallel, and the other in series. The reason we do this is that a pickup that is made to sound good wired parallel will usually be too hot and dark sounding if wires in series. So, we put less wire on a series dual coil than a parallel dual coil. In general, a pickup wired in series will have a fuller and fatter midrange with a subdued high end than a pickup wired in parallel, which will typically have more highs and a deeper low end with a cleaner midrange. Series pickups also have more output than parallel pickups. Parallel pickups are generally a better choice for a split-able installation, as there will not be the gain loss associated with series pickups. These pickups are available only in black plastic covers with exposed pole pieces. These are a direct replacement for Bartolini BC, P2, P4 soapbar size pickups, and are also available for EMG 35/40/45 sized pickups."[/i] These are Bartolini P2 replacements (size is 4.25" x 1.25"), suitable for 19mm string spacing @ bridge. £100 plus postage takes these (which is what I paid). Thank goodness for that. That saves me falling out with the new wife after spending 950 quid unnecessarily!!! It's bound to be up there with any Fender of any era going on everything I've ever heard about Nash.

I'd agree with bigjohn on the price. If you know anyone that's handy with 'lectronics then you could get them to look at the internal fuses of the amp. I acquired an Ashdown head from another basschat user with a similar sounding fault and it turned out to be loose fuse holders making and breaking connections. If you were closer I'd make an offer as I hear these are a nice amp - very tubey sounding for solid state.
