1.
...the only other adjustment you need to make is a neck shim.
presumably you could also have the bridge inset slightly into the body instead? A whole pile more tricky to do but a much more solid result if done well??
 2.
They are great, and are all I use. There is no need to pay more IMO.
Your secret weapons/strings are well and truly out now matey aren't they
 3.
Looks good, but it's a bit expensive dude :/
it ain't cheap but I've had cheaper ones and discarded them for being cr*p, this is the first one I've had (apart from my PJB bass buddy but that was a bit large to just have for home practice) that I've been happy with...it just works beautifully. Tried the behringer DI/Pre thingy (BDI summat) and hated it...
 4. I love my sfx micro-h, the sound is superb and it has that magic aux-in thing going on too!
 5.
The Little Mark Tube is a great amp, but there isn`t much difference between the SS and Tube on it. Just a tiny bit of "fur" around the sound, even when on full. Ideal for me wanting just a shimmer oround the edges, but to anyone wanting more grit, no. It feels warmer and less defined in the mix though when on the Tube setting. The LMT does sound very much like the LMII though, as I now have one of those in my CMD121 combo. I bought the CMD straight after the LMT so could easily compare them. Not much difference at all when on the SS setting.
Mucho helpful, thanks matey! I'll probably just upgrade to the LMIII then and get a valvey-pre pedal that does a bit of dirt too
 6. These are gorgeous basses wish I had the wonga to take it off your hands matey!
 7. there's no mention of a shiftable mid q point on th eyamaha website http://europe.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/trbx/trbx504/ there is however a rather nice picture of a translucent brown one which this one looks a lot like and a trans black one which is nowt like this one
 8.
It's is a path I've been down: I had a LMIII, wanted a tubier sound, so tried a Sansamp BDDI in front of it, liked it, and wanted that tubier sound in one box, so I tried a lot of the smaller hybrid heads (including the LMTube and Rocker, neither of which I liked much - one ineffectual as MM20 says, the other too fizzy) then bought (in order) a TC RH450, an Ashdown Spyder, a Mesa M-Pulse, an SVT Pro-7, a PF500, a Walkabout and then a Streamliner. I've stuck on the Streamliner because it works for me, but I guess if I had to pick a second place it'd be the M-Pulse, tho that's a full-size head. Never tried a TTE, but I'd like to. Rather than bung the board up with stuff I've typed before, if you want any more detailed opinions, just PM me.
I've had an Eden WT800 a long while ago now and loved it but it was bl**dy heavy, I've since had a Genz shuttle and it sounded very thin compared to the LMII, I'd quite like to try a Streamliner but I do like my LMII for most things it's just occasionally I'd like a bit of valve sparkle n grit when using a certain bass for certain songs etc...so if the LM-tube had been any good it would have been spot on as I could have simply switched the pre balance around but given the consensus seems to be they're not so great I may have a little valve-pre clutter on my board soon...ah well, more shopping
 9.
There is barely any difference with the tube in this amp. It is a tiny tube that is soldered to the board. Hardly worth putting it in the circuit. I'd stick with the LM2/3.... If you want a tubier sounding small amp, the Mesa Walkabout, Genz Streamliner or the Markbass TTE500 would be worth checking out.
Fair enough, thanks matey! I may get a valve-pre pedal instead then an dkeep my LMII (I'd like to upgrade to the LMIII at some point for the DI level knob-ability though)
 10. I currently have a LMII head and it's great, I do sometimes hanker for that tube pre sound though and then I spotted the LM tube which has both the solid state pre (LMII/III) style and a tube pre... has anyone tried one and does it sound like a LMII on just the ss pre? and does the tube pre sound equally good? in your opinion of course...
 11.
sorry I am just trying to modify the price... I am from Hungary.
once you've put (or not) a price in the 'price' field it stays as it's related to the charging facility, you'll have to pull this ad and create a new one with the correct price in there to start with I'm afraid
 12. So, I have a bright-onion looper/blender and a keeley modded ts-9 on their way at the moment which will give me a sonic start, just looking for a suitably low actioned and grindy-fat sounding 4 string bass to set up accordingly now... I have a beautiful mim 50's p-bass; fretless ibanez blazer; maxon analog delay and/or a couple of sennheiser drum mics to trade for a suitable bass...?
 13.
I use my modded Status Energy for tapping. Very very low action (I installed a p pickup in between the 2 jazz pickups )
status do tend to permit super low action don't they! I'll keep my mind and my eyes open for a grindy low action bass!
 14. Yep they're spot on matey have had them on a couple of basses and they're good, esp for the money!
 15.
Did a couple of Mr Big numbers when I was in a covers band and my P Bass coped with it perfectly well. Maybe I'm just a skinflint but I wouldn't buy a new bass in an attempt to sound like another bass player. In any case Billy's sound is mostly to do with Billy, not his choice of bass. IMHO, of course.
Totally get your point matey and it's more a practical thing I guess...my go to bass has a medium low actiin as I like to dig in but it doesn't suit tapping n wotnot so rather than redo the action in between songs I wondered if there was a reasonably cheap bass I could snag that would do a decent job of the playability and sound summat like
 16.
Dude...you can pick up used BS714's for £300. No routing, no further pup purchasing etc etc. Brilliant, aggressive P bass.
Wowsa! Will keep my eyes open for one of those then!!
 17. Welcome to g.a.s. central matey!
 18.
I've got a Will Power p pickup and it is great!
If I managed to get hold of a bb424 would a willpower fit in it without modifying the body?
 19. ...apparently...
 20.
Thanks for posting the vid. Very interesting. Also it looks like a guitar gym bucket in the neck of that bass. Any ideas as to the specifics? 21. Daisy Rock of course, flower names are lovely and timeless :-)

 23. Thanks for that matey, spot on! Just need a p bass I can get mega low action with now... Am looking at a bright onion blend/looper, maybe a tubescreamer and probably an mxr compressor then... I watched a really helpful vid of billy talking about his new pedal and talking through how it came about and what other stuff he has in the two loops on it
