  1. I'm told that the best way to rehearse remotely is ti use a landline as it is virtually without lag/delay.......getting the level loud enough might be a challenge as most landlines don't have a line or headphone out.......
  2. What's the best software/apps for rehearsing online. Have tried a number of well known ones but all have impossible time lags! Thanks.
  3. Sold Nick my Helix LT ....... smooth transaction, great guy to deal with.
  4. Selling my Helix LT as I now play folk....... It has plenty of modelling pre amps, amps and speakers, many many highly useable effects in a great sturdy unit. Easy to set up and to edit, connects to your laptop too for editing. Just over a year old, very light use as seen by the excellent condition. Comes with original box, mains lead, instructions and USB stick. Cheapest new is £749, so I'm selling for £550 (not £554 as in title) including the Line 6 Helix bag (costs £120 new). Local pickup preferred, but will ship to UK. Paypal gift or Bank Transfer please. Willing to throw in a loo roll or 2 to the new owner!
  5. Report post Posted November 1 (edited) Members 11 271 posts Location: Essex Report post Posted April 29 (edited) Back for sale owing to an Ebay time waster! I purchased this flightcase new last Summer but never used it due to a back injury which precludes me carrying anything but the lightest of equipment. It has been in storage in my loft since. Collection is preferred but couriering is possible. For full details: https://www.theflightcasecompany.com/line-6-helix-lt-pedalboard-flight-case Although this is built to house the Helix LT pedalboard unit, it could easily be used as a general pedal board case. £90.00 plus postage (around £10.00 UK Mainland).
  6. Possibly sold on the bay!
  7. No I rather like the Helix and use the Line 6 soft bag with it to keep the weight down! Also use the Helix for guitar as well as bass........ such a brilliant piece of kit!

  9. Really!
  10. I use the Grammar pad to good effect which tightens up the bass sound for around £40................!
  11. It has to be JACO..... you don't even need to put his surname in for people to know........ his sound was his signature.......Rotosound and Fender Jazz creating/living alchemy!
  12. Perhaps its commensurate with the size of the bass..............what a monster! (in a good way)
  13. W/E Bump as still available!
  14. I bought a fretless one off of here recently..........absolutely fantastic basses....... so well made and sounding great. I would even say they are on a par with US Fenders or even better! GLWTS! https://www.facebook.com/SireRevolutionOfficial/
  15. Unfortunately the modern Fender Jazzes have their routing extending from underneath the bell plate all the way to the pick up so you can't really remove the scratchplate 'a la Jaco' style, alas!
  16. What I really don't like is a tort on black........ just got a Sire Marcus Miller tort on black....... maybe change to white pearl!
  17. I like pearl scratch plates but a sunburst jazz needs a tort s/p. The older ones are slightly different as you can see in my '83 Fullerton re issue...........
  18. weekend bump...... still available!
  19. At the age of 16 (around 1973) I bought an old 40 watt Viking (tube) Bass Amp and shabby 2 x 15 Viking cab. I really thought I'd arrived....... It was purchased from Allan Gordon Studios in Markhouse Road Walthamstow, London. A bit of a junk shop by today's standards, but then it was a wonderland that did a bit of everything musical. Sadly the amp packed up only a few weeks into using it and blew the speakers. The speakers were replaced by a no name 4 x 12 and the amp was repaired and replaced soon after by a Carlsbro Marlin PA amp. Why I bought a PA amp for bass I don't know.... I guess it was to put the vocals through..... The good bad old days!
