  1. I bought a fretless one off of here recently..........absolutely fantastic basses....... so well made and sounding great. I would even say they are on a par with US Fenders or even better! GLWTS! https://www.facebook.com/SireRevolutionOfficial/
  2. Unfortunately the modern Fender Jazzes have their routing extending from underneath the bell plate all the way to the pick up so you can't really remove the scratchplate 'a la Jaco' style, alas!
  3. What I really don't like is a tort on black........ just got a Sire Marcus Miller tort on black....... maybe change to white pearl!
  4. I like pearl scratch plates but a sunburst jazz needs a tort s/p. The older ones are slightly different as you can see in my '83 Fullerton re issue...........
  5. At the age of 16 (around 1973) I bought an old 40 watt Viking (tube) Bass Amp and shabby 2 x 15 Viking cab. I really thought I'd arrived....... It was purchased from Allan Gordon Studios in Markhouse Road Walthamstow, London. A bit of a junk shop by today's standards, but then it was a wonderland that did a bit of everything musical. Sadly the amp packed up only a few weeks into using it and blew the speakers. The speakers were replaced by a no name 4 x 12 and the amp was repaired and replaced soon after by a Carlsbro Marlin PA amp. Why I bought a PA amp for bass I don't know.... I guess it was to put the vocals through..... The good bad old days!
  6. Just bought a Sire Fretless Bass from Pawel. An excellent transaction, great communications, brilliant packaging, a pleasure to have dealt with. Thanks Pawel, Paul.
  7. Thanks itsmedunc! Yes one shouldn't be fooled by the wattage...... and it cranks up very nicely............
  8. Fender Blues Junior IV Classic Lacquered Tweed Finish Combo 15 watt all tube Bought new 18 months ago, absolutely mint, hardly used, never rehearsed or gigged, kept at home, hence sale, with Fender cover and FAT footswitch. Weight of 31 lb together with valves precludes shipping, so prefer local collection. Close to M25/A12. New cost of Combo £569 plus Cover £29 & Footswitch £42 (£640) Make a substantial saving on what is a virtually new piece of kit. Shoes not included in the sale!
  9. I purchased this flightcase new last Summer but never used it due to a back injury which precludes me carrying anything but the lightest of equipment. It has been in storage in my loft since. Collection is preferred but couriering is possible. For full details: https://www.theflightcasecompany.com/line-6-helix-lt-pedalboard-flight-case Although this is built to house the Helix LT pedalboard unit, it could easily be used as a general pedal board case. £100 plus postage. Now reduced to £90 plus postage.
