  1. I'm in. I've managed a fortnight so far (in fact, months since I last bought anything) so it should be easy.
  2. Do you have a link to find out more information? There doesn't seem to be any change on the gov.uk website for the advice on exporting from GB to NI.
  3. A little while after getting Covid-19, I noticed that my tinnitus was more intrusive. It didn't seem more intense, but while I used to pretty much tune it out all the time and only really noticed it when the subject got raised, or on the occasions (maybe every couple of months) when for some reason it got louder for a while, now it's more noticeable. I wondered if it might be Covid related as Mrs Zero has had her sense of taste affected, so there are presumably potentially some neurological effects, and I finally got round to using a popular search engine to check it out. And this is what I found: https://www.thebsa.org.uk/covid-19-is-making-tinnitus-worse-new-study/ So if you have tinnitus, beware of Covid. Beware of it anyway, but it's just another reason to keep clear and get vaccinated as soon as you can.
  4. Tried searching on Companies House using his address but there's no company directors at that address.
  5. There doesn't seem to be any obvious guide to exporting items from outside GB into GB (so from the point of view of a non-GB business). There's one on imports but that seems to be concerned only with GB businesses importing from outside GB.
  6. Apologies, I thought I'd got a grasp of it. Evidently not. I'm glad all I have to deal with is the software for the customs side of things of sending pharmaceutical items from GB to NI. I think having to do the VAT too would send me into early retirement.
  7. That will be fun, given the Rules of Origin protocols. If something is assembled in GB, if the parts it's assembled from aren't all GB in origin, they all have to be accounted for and if a certain proportion aren't GB (I think it's by value, the proportion is IIRC somewhere around the 50% mark) then it's not a GB-origin item. I assume that the Irish article means GB rather than UK, as NI is EU (rules-wise, anyway), and UK = GB + NI.
  8. Now, if you want to import something from anywhere abroad (EU or non-EU), the seller (if it's a business) will have to VAT register with HMRC, and collect VAT on their behalf, and then submit returns. Alternatively, they'll say "We no longer supply UK customers".
  9. You can just about make it out in the last photo using the zoom - headstock access.
  10. Worth a look at his other items for sale, like a Kramer "The Duke". A sad reason for sale though.
  11. I thought Bongo clones had gone out of fashion.
  12. That is lovely grain, and you've got a veneered control cavity cover too, which is nice.
  13. A name that is larger than the amp itself. Santa (in the shape of Mrs Zero) brought it today. SD card adaptor to give a sense of scale. It's not much larger than the 18V power supply. Haven't got a cab in the house at the moment but have had a little play through headphones. Sounds pretty good. I shall bring the Barefaced BB2 in from the garage at some point and have a little play through that. The intention is to use it in the rehearsal studio - we use headphones but run a bit of quiet monitoring of everything too.
  14. I have four Warwicks. I have tried a number of Spectors. I have no Spectors. Disliked the necks, they weren't as nice as the (late 80s) Warwick necks.
  15. Ironic that it was sold through Bonhams.
  16. I have a pedalboard with a Line 6 G50 attached to it, and also use a Smoothhound live with one band with just a Zoom MS-60B. I don't notice the SH's latency when playing live, and it gets left in the gigbag at home so one of these bug systems would be handy too, for home and non-effecty rehearsals (when eventually we get to rehearse again).
  17. How big is your cat? Nothing short of a Maine Coon would be able to reach mine (the hanger stems are just over 2m off the ground).
  18. IIRC, you need to use the software with the Superfly connected direct to the computer, not via a hub, as it twangs the wires directly rather than using a driver.
  19. In case everybody's missed it, 3.01 is out already.
  20. Another one for the Greg Lake song here. And this one: And
  21. Doesn't excuse the rest of the song though.
  22. At least refusing to ever play in a covers band means that you're not so far along the Dunning-Kruger spectrum that you're not capable of recognising that you're not a good enough player to be able to manage it. FTAOD, I'm in one covers band, one originals band, and two bands that play both originals and covers. And I like winding up snobs on both sides.
  23. Have you any idea about what's ugly with the tone at the moment?
  24. Annoyingly, I forgot about this...
  25. "I have no idea if it works". I can say with almost certainty that it doesn't.
