1. Had a sore left wrist over the last 2 months. Turned out to be tendonitis. Hurt like hell and couldn't play the bass for a while. Change your action see if that helps. If not and the pain still persists, go to your GP.
2. I am in! Any help with catering or anything like that? I will have to ask one of my bands in regards to performing. Will have to pick wisely though...
3. Another bump! Have been injured so been inactive to this site. Now back playin' ma bass!
4.
Actually, there is a difference in petrol if you're running a performance engine. Supermarket brand petrol does cause a lot of sludge build up in the tank, its not really an issue unless you run low and then all the sludge goes through your engine. The more expensive brands put additives in the fuel to break the sludge down in the tank... I ran a performance car for a few years, thought nothing of filling up at Tesco every week, saved some money but not enough to pay the £4k bill for an engine rebuild. The mechanic (a friend) said don't ever take this car to the supermarket again! I didn't, I wrapped it around a tree a month later
Agreed. Companies buy in stocks and shares when it comes to fuel (or everything!). There are cheaper, crapper oil refineries and amazing, top notch ones. Supermarkets cut costs and go for the crapper one of the two to cut costs at their fuel stations to drag more punters in. They won't care about the implications about what happens to the vehicle as you have experienced. In my opinion same goes for strings (and pretty much anything else) spend a little more money, get better quality products. I haven't changed my strings (DR Hi's on Spector and Rotosound PSDs on Ibanez) for a good year or so. They still sound amazing and my sweat is very corrosive!
5. Another bump. Don't want to take a hit on eBay bills! Someone out there must be looking for a combo beast like this surely!
6. Seriously, no takers? I will give this til the end of the week then I will have to put this combo on Ebay.

8. After a little more research, these amps are sold new at the price I stated. I am now open to offers of sale but the trade still stands.
9. Bought my a rig from my GAS list the other day. An Ashdown 410T cab and an Ashdown Mag 300H head. Just need to pay the rest of the money and the warehouse can allow me to pick it up! Its like paying bail money to get your loved one out of jail...
10. I have also been wanting to take up the DB. All good advice on here to consider buying one too. Will have to wait until I can scoop up the money, even second hand DB's seem quite expensive for a poor person like myself!
11. My exercise routine is pretty good, volleyball once a week, running twice a week and the odd male pilates (don't laugh!). I can pick up my gear with great ease plus it is a good way to work the biceps / triceps! 20 reps with a 10lb Spector? No problems! Plus posture is the key, but should naturally sort itself out if you follow simple core exercise routines. Thats where the pilates comes in!
12.
First impressions of Reaper are that it's really powerful but you need to follow some tutorials if you're new to this kind of thing.
Reaper is a beast but worth it! A license for an individual isn't that much once the free trial is up either.
13. Hi fellow Basschatters! Today I have my Peavey 115 Max Combo up for grabs. I am looking for £75 for the combo or a possible trade for a 115 cab for my new rig (8 ohms required). Photatoes will be uploaded once I have definitely had interest. A little more about the amp; I have had it since new from 2006, done alot of practicing and gigging with it so it has general wear and tear in the fabric. This is inevitable as I don't really want to damage my knuckles going through doors! Again, piccies will be displayed once I have removed the feeler. It is a good, reliable combo and will never die, as Peavey build things to withstand the apocalypse. As stated, suitable for practicing as a bedroom bassist, rehearsals and small gigs. Luke UPDATE - I now come bearing with piccies, so hopefully interest can be gained this way! 14. I would go the USB Interface route. Both work as efficient as each other but the interface stops you pulling apart PC components etc. My Interface only can handle two channels but I am no sound techie so it suits me. Also, interfaces do come with a freeware version of recording software like Sonar Lite. Its crap but does the job. You could download Reaper but it requires alot of patience to use and as an individual the license number is not that expensive to purcahse after the 30 day free trial!
15. I have had a similar experience. 1. I agree to cheatsheets as a last minute dep like others have said. 2. Create a youtube playlist of the songs you need to learn and scribe away in no particular order, as most bands never stick to setlist order (just my experience) 3. Simplify hard songs (I once just chunked out the root notes for a couple of tunes for a very last minute gig, 1 day before too! No one noticed, not even the guitarist who dragged me in!) 4. Do not sleep and drink plenty of coffee!
16. I am going too. Only for Saturday though! Went to the first one earlier this year - entering the hall could literally give you the sh!ts from the amount of people testing out basses n rigs! If any stogie lovers from this fine forum are interested, possibly a herf mid morn?
17. An Aria STB Series. Currently in bits as I need to have it re-fretted and a machine head replaced.
18. Bought a Crybaby Bass Wah Pedal off Mike. Great, reliable guy. I take my hat off to you sir! Great sounding pedal too, took it to rehearsals over the weekend and my bandmates loved the sound! Luke
19. A good sound engineer is hard to find! Find one, keep one. Apart from the mishaps was it a good night?
