1.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu I did. Thoroughly. Read loads about it too. I'm a spelling/grammar/pronunciation pedant and also a pragmatist. And a huge Metallica fan.
+1 and I voted for Ktulu, Would make a great amp name IMO.

 3. Very nice and the older version with less relicing. GLWTS
 4.
I'm sure Andy would be happy with the exposure....I think he's doing it as a second or third income stream at the moment, but is seriously considering going more mainstream with this business. Mine is already in UK from USA and price is double confirmed at £795 after duty and shipping and comes with deluxe tolex hard case and certificates and tags. Turnaround seems pretty fast, I ordered on 13/9 and it will probably be with Andy by 17/10. I guess I may have just got lucky and my ordere landed at G&L just as they were about to make a batch of S500s; but he says delivery to UK is rarely more than two months from placing the order. Only downside is the warranty will be with the US dealer with which he deals; but it's a G&L, so who needs a warranty anyway.
Thanks Bassnut62 and you must put some pics up once you have it please.
 5.
Yep, dealer please!
Apologies to bassnut62 for the reveal but it's a shame to keep them quiet and I don't quite understand why as they're a guitar dealer and the exposure here can only be a good thing! Black Cat Strats in St. Albans - http://www.black-cat-strats.co.uk/ They operate on eBay and Facebook too.
 6. I am in the firm but polite 'no' camp. Lent a Mate my Mesa Boogie amp & cab for a gig once years ago and he blew a speaker in it. He was very apologetic and paid for the repair but as the singer in my then band said - If we were going on after them you'd be f***ed!
 7. Who's the guitar dealer please?
 8.
yes, that's right £795 is all I pay in total....I don't even understand how it is possible; but frankly I don't care.....just gimme my axe!!!!
Hi Bassnut62, Sorry if you know this already but if not just be aware that there will more than likely be Import Duty & VAT charged to you when the guitar is delivered to you/picked up. If that happens then it will be approx. 20 to 25% of the £795 you have already paid. Sometimes stuff sneaks through from the States, but not often.
 9.
...full final price in my hand is £795...
Hi Bassnut62, Is that including Shipping, Import Duty & VAT? Thanks, Jon
 10. Nice one Chiliwailer, it's a beaut!
 11.
Now THIS is what I like about BC!
+1 but I'm definitely not interested in a 3 piece P bass glued up for metal that smells of cheese
 12.
lovely bass Jon and a barg at that price. GLWTS
Thanks Clarky
 13.
Is that a 40mm nut width? Don't really know why I'm asking as London is pushing 200 miles away, but.................
Hi Karl, Thanks for asking! It measures 1.63"/41.4mm Cheers, Jon
 14. Hello, Now sold but details left up for future reference. 2009 Fender USA Factory Special Run 70's Precision Bass that was made for the Japan market. I bought it from Ishibashi and imported it in 2010. It is basically a standard spec USA Precision with the following FSR tweaks - Older USA bridge (not the HMV one), Early 70's headstock logo and the older shaped hard case. It comes with the accessories pictured, as supplied by Ishibashi - *edit* Since the pics were taken I found the Red T handled truss rod allen key to go with the accessories. Nut width is 1.63"/41.4mm and it weighs in at 9.37lbs/4.25kgs Thanks for looking, Jon
 15.
I'd want a discount for that!
Exactly! What do you reckon, about £1,500? That'd be more like it IMO
 16.
I wouldn't say that the ash/alder three piece body is indicative of poor quality, it's just a rather eccentric design decision. If I was ordering one, I wouldn't go for that, but then it's not my bass.
It's not the 3 piece body that irks me it's the fact that these were something like £2,200 new and I'm, struggling to see how a J pickup being added whacks on another £800 odd quid!
 17. Now SOLD. Thanks for looking and details left up for reference. Hi All, Here is my Very Good Condition Warmoth bass for sale or trade. 18.
Why didn't they just buy a p/j to begin with?
Kind of my thinking too 40Hz, especially at CS priced instruments. I am enjoying the opinions from both sides of the fence on this one though.
 19.
...To be honest I found the overpriced other P bass he's got for sale more bemusing
Wow, hadn't seen that. He's almost as good as that other guitar modding Bloke
 20. First up, apologies if this bass is a fellow BC'ers bass and what I'm going to say is only my opinion The 2 things that stand out for me is why modify a rare Ltd. edition CS P bass like that to start with and to then go and try to sell it on asking £3k for it... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191356356733?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I guess all I can say is GLWTS
 21. Ooh, look at the flamed maple neck on that. Very nice and GLWTS.
