Only seen one on Steve Harris's blue one.
Not with that online P bass designer Karlfer, no. Sorry. That's a job for a Photoshop user I'm afraid as that's well out of my league... Anyone out there that can do that?
 2.
That's the one! I find tort on black looks disgusting and I can't understand why so many people think it looks nice.
Hi Nige, So the story goes - My P bass is the 10 hole pickguard version and I don't want to drill any holes in this bass for a 13 hole pickguard. That has seriously limited my choices to either an off the shelf gold anodised 'guard or a custom made number. I have managed to snag a used Fender Gold anodised 'guard off eBay so once that arrives and I check the hole alignment then I can either go with that or use it as a template to get something made. If I go for a Tort it would have to be something like this: But we will see
 3. Hi Sean, Thanks for the kind words and it is a toneful old beast indeed! To confirm it is not chambered. Cheers, Jon
Another tone monster I got to play at the bash. Can't remember, is the body chambered?
8.
I was stuck between Black and Tort, I eventually chose Black
The B/W/B would definitely be cheaper to buy!
 9.
...The real question is, why isn't it a 3 tone sunburst!
10.
Anodised gold
Hmmm...
 11. Hi Clarky, I went through the voting process but got no confirmation email afterwoulds, is that correct? Also the other link you put up didn't work for me... I tried to stop the cats playing a Fodera! Please don't tell me you have made them Fedoras too
 12. It's a tight race between the B/W/B & Tort at the moment!
 13.
...Look at those three pics with your eyes screwed up. Which one is going to stand out unmistakably on stage as a P Bass?
Good technique Discreet and the Mint one wins hands down like that!
 14. I asked a (guitar playing) bloke at work and he said 'ooh, the black one. The white looks like 'my first bass' and the Tort looks like 'my first bass that my Dad bought for me'
 15.
...Where can I access this P-bass designer? I need to stoke up the GAS a bit - NOT!
Hey JapanAxe, see this thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/185820-design-your-own-p-bass/page__fromsearch__1
 16. With the aid of the P bass designer and just for fun have a look at the jpegs below with mock ups of my bass and have a vote on your favourite please. Cheers, Jon.
 17.
...You will see the blanks before you get them cut, wont you?
If possible, yes. Hopefully Spitfire7 will get some pics of his P & J bass examples up once they're made for us to see too.
 18.
...How about one of those on your P or J bass huh?
Mark, If the 10 hole P bass is possible then at some point I am thinking about going from this: To this (not my bass or pic):
 19.
...I have a project on the go that could do with one of these...!
Sorry to do it to you WoT
 20.
They look great!
If he offers a 10 hole P bass version I could be in trouble!
 21.
Well, Sims has a name for working at the higher end of markets IMO, so when he showed me the samples, I wasn't exactly sure it would work. But the option across the road really wasn't an option at all and the colour was too red, and I needed Sims to make me another clear plate as well, so I had them make both as they needed to be custom made anyway When I saw the end result on the bass..... it couldn't have worked better, so in view of the work they do and the clients they have, I trusted they could see something I couldn't initially. The tort on the white J5 looks so good, that that bass gets more comments than the quilted maple bass which is stunning in itself, IMO.
Any good closeup pics we could see please JTUK?
 22.
I'm just going to check out gear... zero interest in anyone playing, I haven't heard of most of them.
Same here but put off by the £23 advance/£25 on the door to look at stuff in a very noisy environment where touch is more prevalent than sound
