  1. Layla by Clappedout .. on and on and on Oh yes and that atrocious Umbrella ella ella by whoever it was, particularly that part. That line is criminally bad. That shocking "Irish" ditty by Sheeran. You know the one - "I had a little fiddle with an Irish man in the back of his Transit van. I said you can do what ever you can, then he hit me round the head with a frying pan."
  2. Just another to add further props to Ashdown. My Klystron Classic 500 head was in dire need of servicing when the gain pot started to play up . Spoke to Dave, shipped it back, it was given a thorough clean (I swear I did dust it.. once..), parts changed and all serviced and shipped back in no time. I have absolute faith in the brand and have no reason to ever change from them.
  3. Two ups! Both at the same time.. not sure how, but half the fun would be figuring that out πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  4. 50% happy excited audience. 50% happy excited me.
  5. Since using a wireless set up on my bass I have not yet experienced another mic/lip tingle. It was one of the primary reasons for me to go wireless.
  6. Uhmm.. sticking my neck out buuuut, I found the Foos to be rather boring. I guess only having an hour affected their set choice but I just feel it's always Dave talks, quiet intro, ramp it up, Dave shouts, bring it down, bit of improv, loud, shout, quiet, loud, shout, end. Next song, repeat previous. I dunno, I just found them a bit by numbers. I did like the band intros though, Nate wallops out a bit of Beastie Boys and Pat gives us some God Save The Queen.
  7. Clem is an absolute monster. I love his passion and energy.
  8. She is and always has been one of those vocalists with decidedly questionable pitching. Still pretty iconic though.
  9. Wouldn't that be great! If all the audience for their upcoming gigs wore bobble hats 😁
  10. I don't think you should tell people what you are changing it to.. πŸ˜‰
  11. Thanks folks. Job done, Roqsolid on order.
  12. My old amp cover has just started to degrade. It's a foam backed vinyl and the foam is now turning to powder. It's lasted a good 10 years so fair enough. (I can't remember who made it. Black vinyl, white piping and it had a union flag stuck on the front corner). Anyway, It looks like it's going to be a Roqsolid one but I was just wondering is there anything else a weekend warrior like myself should consider or just stick with my initial choice. (I want a protective soft cover, not a flight case). Thanks Mark
  13. And if you miss both the B and the C you get Boris Johnson 😁
  14. "You'd also be a fool to think he is not monitoring this thread." Well let's hope he has a very twitchy sphincter before his next gig then.
  15. Nicely rehearsed. The singer certainly has a unique stage presence....
  16. Blimey πŸ˜ͺ R.I.P. Alasdair "Algy" Ward. Bass player with the The Saints, The Damned and Tank. The sound of that P bass being hammered for the intro to Love Song by The Damned fuelled the fires of tone for me.
  17. Ahh the Digeridoo, that when someone goes to play one, is swiftly renamed Digeridon't!
  18. A post from him earlier - The Beast! 1972 Fender Precision fretless bass. (I have not changed these strings since Coachella, 2005. They’re loaded with mojo & sound like that should!) L & R rehearsal, LA. @loveandrocketsofficial
  19. Saw this on the socials earlier so thought I'd share it. Oh, I was also told he uses D'Addario Chromes.
