2. Crap, should of updated this, payment has been recieved and i'm shipping it out on tuesday!
 3.
Will do, however in the interim if there's anyone who is interested and could collect let me know as I've gotta move this....
Cool, if you will ship i'll pay for that.
 4. Well let me know when and we could work out somewhere to meet while your en route?
 5. It's in perfect condition, but I need to go back to my SWR Goliath Sr (6x10) because my lead guitarist has just bought an Engl Powerball, so both me and my rhythem guitarist are having to get new set ups. Comes with an Ashdown cover as well to keep it snug and safe, willing to post but would prefer pick up. Trade wise i'm interested in mainly basses like a nice Jazz or Precision and of course i'll put some money with it. Not really interested in cabs or amps unless it's something nice, but i'm open to most other bits. Otherwise it's 165 + shipping peeps, good price eh?
 6. When are you back down around Wales, i've got the money waiting? I could do with a combo for practice, now i'm getting rid of my lil rig and going back up to a 6x10.
 7. Thanks for the kinda comments guys!
Any sound clips or anything mate? That would be helpful in this case (for me anyway ) Also what year manufacture is it??
You can come up and have a go if you want, where abouts are you located? I'll see if I can find out when it was made tomorrow, but I think it was early 2000? EDIT: I should say that now I do need to sell this now thanks to some prick driving into my car while it was parked and leaving no note, so if it isn't sold by next weekend then it's going on the bay.... so if you're thinking about offering a trade...etc then get in touch before then.
 8.
Show us more pics of the Sandberg!
If it's nice tomorrow when I get home from work i'll take a few snaps
 9. My LX5 is going up for sale or trade, this has been an exclusive bedroom player since I play mainly with my Sandberg which gives me my live tone down to a tee. It's in perfect condition, not a scratch to it's name. Like all my items, I welcome a try before you buy but i've just sold my Genz Neopack which will hopefully be shipping this weekend when the cheque clears... so i'll be ampless for a few days while I sort a DB750 i'm finishing up a deal on. I will ship it *BUT* I will not hazard a bass like this without a hardcase, my local music shop has a nice second hand hardcase I can have for 30 which i'll purchase if postage is necessery, i'll split the cost 50/50 with the buyer. New this bass is circa 1500 according to the gallery, but Warwick re-sale isnt the greatest... but i'll accept offers around 800 for the time being since I don't need to sell it and it's a bloody nice bass! Trade wise i'm VERY interested in a Rickenbacker 4001 or 4003, if it's a Mapleglo i'll put money with the bass depending on it's condition. I'm also partial to a nice jazz or precision I've worn out the stings, but I will put a new set of Elixers on for a buyer/trade. Thanks If you want anymore pics, just gimme a shout!
 10. I'm thinking about putting my Warwick Jazzman up for sale/trade, what sort of deal would you be looking for against my LX5? It doesn't have a scratch on it, it does how ever need new strings which i've already bought but not put on yet.
 11. oh arse buggery tit glad you got a deal though marcus and thanks for your opinion on the db750!
 12. I have owned this cab in the 8 ohm variety, best cab i've used and if I could afford this one i'd have it off him in a flash.
 13.
Hey, whatever, but (*looks up*) it says 'The home of deep discussion' up there. Gstar chose to discuss something, along with a little apology for doing so, without doing anything to upset Geester's thread other than give it a bump. Some people are really intolerant. IMO.
I answered everything that was within my grasp to do so, I don't see anyone else leaping to his aid? Fair enough I was rude, but I didn't have the time to put it any other way and that is how I felt he came across. Sure intolerance isn't a virtue, but you have to strike a balance somewhere or there will be no etiquette.
 14.
That was quite a mean post, Mr. Minty Death. It was going very well until the end. Just sayin'.
Just really annoys me, when people can't be bothered to do research on an item, leaning heavily on the seller for information with vague questions and with no real intention of buying the item. The topic he is broaching isn't something that can be answered in one post, because it requires allot of information off him which he didn't volunteer. Instead of absorbing the knowledge i've just given him and provide information on what amp, bass, guitars/instruments his band mates play and the genre of music he plays.... he chose to pick up on the second to last sentence of my post and react. If he was really interested in buying these cabs or finding out more about them, then one of the best (common sense) ways is to have posted a thread in the appropriate forum, I along with many others here have had experience with these cabs and can/will provide much more insight than a thread in the for sale forum. Not to mention just doing a simple search for gs112 in the amp/cab forum, came up with two pages of results, if he were to do the same search on talkbass or hcbf then he would get even more opinion and debate to form his decision.
 15.
I was just wondering about the 212 setup... If i'm thinking right, the two together do 600w at 4ohm? Is it the that 12" speakers don't cut the mix too well or was the drummer last seen scaling a building in the USA about 50 years ago? In all seriousness, i've currently got a Peavey rig i bought off here (My first rig) from Hit&Run... its been fantastic for me so far, but as the band starts to expand, theres more traveling involved and portability becomes more of an issue. I've a 2x10 1x15 setup, Mark VI head i think... 500w at the four ohms. Reading round i thought two 112 cabs would be great: Portability, great sound (so ive read) i was thinking if i could get hold of two 112's and a lightweight head, a LMII or a Shuttle 6.0 i'd have the perfect lightweight rig. Sorry to go off topic, i guess i was trying to ask if a 212 can cut a mix in loud rehersals and small to medium gigs... i have noticed a lot of places put the bass through the PA and use your rig as monitoring, but when they don't i'd still need to something that can be heard...
The size of the speaker has very little impact at all, it's how the cab and speaker(s) are voiced/constructed that matters. Which amp and bass you are using and how you have them EQ'd has far more to do with cutting through a mix than what cab you are using from my reading and experience. Mids are generally what cuts through a mix, GS112 has a mid scooped voicing which leans toward more bass than highs. That said it is dependant on what your playing and what instruments are in your band/how they are EQ'd, if you are really interested you should be making a seperate thread to discuss the topic.... not jamming up this F/S thread with a somewhat incoherant brainfart imho. Don't mean to be rude, even though I realise I probably am.
 16. What sort of deal are you offering on a 4 string MIM 3 tone burst?
 17.
Hehe, what are you asking for it? Peter
+1 And I think that's a pretty raw deal you got there man....
 18. oh fiddle-sticks really wanted to try these out, nice score mild.
 19.
I've got an ichy chin
20.
Replied via PM Cheers Mark
ygpm
 21. I'm getting a new point to point wired 100w hot-rodded superbass clone made up for me soon, I need to check if it will go down to 2 Ohm. If it does, would you consider taking an my as new ABM 2x10 and cover in p/x against your db410, I don't imagine it will take long to find it a matching partner?
