1. Nahh it's definitely the pickups, there is something wrong with them since there's not a huge difference between 0 and 10 on the tone pot. Could be the pot itself but I doubt it... I suppose I could change both but i've never done either before so it'd be a little adventure
I installed Wizards when I went down the same route, and they're still in my '87 ST which does the business in that respect.
Which model?
2. I'm new to sludge/down tempo/doom but a friend wants me to play in his band, I found my standard pups are mudding up quite easily with my custom fuzz pedal. So I was wondering what I should go for, something passive and mid heavy? I don't really want to go active unless it's a really good idea...
3. It's not a truly custom shape, I want a jazz body, a straight through neck with a p-bass profile?
4. Can I get some recommendations of luthiers who can build a bass to my shape and spec? Many thanks
5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
6. Is this a 4 Ohm cab, i cant remember off the top of my head if they do one?
7. replied to pm's waiting on pending offers before I put it on ebay
8. hoof Forgot to say, i'll also take p/x if it's something easy to move on like a fender/ampeg...etc
9. Price drop to 600 If this isn't sold by Sunday, it'll be going on ebay
10. The bass will be going up for auction soon on ebay, so if your thinking of making me an offer let me know
I had a play on this bass when it was in the shop and loved it but after all its a Sandberg. Nuff said!
No way, small world!
11.
Surely it should be all on his insurance if he hit you?
Apparently not, single lane on the rise of a hill. I am incandescent with rage, he hit me so hard it pushed my car backwards with the brakes on, his skid marks where immeasurably longer than mine... I really felt like bouncing his head off the bonnet when it happened and in retrospect I should have... at least I would have gotten some satisfaction out of it.
12. It means allot to me since it was my first high quality bass, i've had it for about 2 and half years it's my only bass and I would be keeping for sure it if life didn't keep screwing me over... I bought it for 1200 from a local shop (mid wales music centre), with the extra matching head stock and more expensive silver leaf finish. It's in literally perfect condition (the pick-guard had a protective skin on it in the pic below, there isn't any damage) and comes with the Sandberg gig bag which is also in immaculate condition as well, this bass was totally babied since I used a Warwick Jazzman JX5 for gigging/practice with my metal band. If you've owned or played a Sandberg you must have some idea of the build quality and tone... so make me an offer around 650 (which is what I was recommended on this forum), worst I can say is a polite no! More pics here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry533302 I don't have an amp atm but I do still have my old SWR 6x10, so if you wanted to bring your amp to try it before you buy that's no problem at all. I live near Montgomery in Powys and I would be happy to meet there, or a bit further afield to do an exchange/guide you in if need be. I've sold quite a few bits on here and i've only had one bad experience, that was mostly due to circumstances and poor luck. Thanks
13. Life has just served up another body-blow, looks like i'm going to have to sell it after all, a boy racer in a civic type r going far to fast went into me... knock for knock because it was in country lanes.
14. Decided to keep it, i'll just keep kicking myself if I do! Thanks anyway guys for the advice and comments... even if some of them were wrong *cough* thisnameistaken *cough* xD
15.
in Italy you happen to see basses like yours for sale for about 800 euros or so. BUT: it looks like your bass has some significant upgrades (eg the finish), so it may be eligible for a place in a higher price region. nonetheless, I have no idea of how sandberg guitars are made available in the UK. In italy those are sold directly by the importer, and this allows for slightly lower price than most european megastores like thomann.

Probably around £650, although, I am not sure it will be the most popular finish.
Yeah the bass cost me 1200.00 GBP new inc VAT, I ticketed all the upgrades appart from fret markers because I prefer it without (:
16. Hi there, times are hard and it looks like I might have to sell my Sandberg, it's in perfect condition, quite literally not a single mark on it (those nicks on the pick-guard are just on the protective sticky plastic stuff, which i've since removed). How much is it worth on the second hand market atm, they are quite rare in the U.K due to the strength of the Euro but they have won allot of awards? Here's sine pic-age for those that haven't seen it before:
17.
android sounds very cool
+1 But i'm unsure about it untill I hear a sample of it with a bass
18. I think the GK 1001RB-II normally sells for around 350 second hand doesnt it?
19. The last AD200 on ebay went for circa 500-600, i'll give you that for it if you're interested let me know.
20. Are you looking for anything in trade for this beast?
