2. Sorry but it says collect in person. I know you are annoyed but there we go..... Am I the only person for whom eBay is largely trouble free? None of my business but just sayin..,
3. Does this come with Uk power supply?
4. just checked the lomenzo demo out - looks good, and cheap.
5. I've been recommended the lomenzo actually so that is interesting
6. Hi all, OK, so I need some pointers on distortion . overdrive . fuzz. Basically I have always either relied on the drive on an amp, or gone for a BDDI in the past. However, my HD 350 needs some help to get the right sound, and I don't know where to start. About half our set requires a nice driven bass sound - think sounds ranging from Killers, through to a slightly more aggressive drive. Another great sound I need to get is like the Ash song Burn Baby Burn. So, what do I need to get these- recommend away please! Chris
7. Why is this still here?!!!
8. Super 12 is nice Love my EBS neo212 though. Best cab. Also like genz neo 212
9. Noooooooooo!!!!! That sounds too good! Bugger.
The head made my gig last night! Super tight midrange when required. Smooth top end (in that old Ampeg way). The 'Colour' control really brought out the Motown tones, especially with a touch of the Compressor, speaking of which, made the occasional slapped parts rich and 'spike'-free. Something I've had a problem with when using lightweight digital amps through my 12s. I recommend trying one on a gig asap! Sweet talk your local dealer into letting it out the shop over a weekend.
10. I'm getting GAS for one of these. Bloody hell.....
11. alright, tonight I am going to do a bit of A-B testing on my gig, and I expect to confirm that one or both of these will be going.....those who have Pm'd me and been in touch are will then hear from me as I decide what to do. Cheers Chris
12. Do you go through your bass rig with these?
13. Ah cool. I've got a referral in for the one a Carlton, just waiting for the call. It's nothing compared to your issues though
14. Which specialist physio mate? I could use a session
15.
Don't quit your other band. You'll need to fill your time when the singer is off doing solo stuff. And when the management decides the band isn't pretty enough or it's too expensive and they get a bunch of players for £30 a week you'll find you still need the other band. Keep your amp and get a Barefaced Compact or Big Baby. Get flight cases, your gear will need protecting from now on.
16. What's the date of this please. Might have just the thing.
17. Why sell? Surely it's not that heavy? What will something smaller actually gain you? Just sayin..
18. Sounds like a sensible plan mate I hope it works out ok
19. Did a function where Jerome Flynn and Kate Humble were guests. Also did an acoustic guitar duo gig in a small bar where Michael Owen and huh mates were on a stag do. Lol also did a wedding where Michelle McManus was a guest (the er...large lady from x factor or whatever). Obviously she wanted to sing a bit so we got her up to do Mustang Sally, but she didn't know the words..... At the end of the night she was spotted alone at a table at the back with 2 massive burgers.......
20. Fair point.
21. Too right, that is not the way to behave when checking the kit, at least at first.
I say cut the guy some slack, he's just trying to do his job. Chances are he hasn't been given enough time to EQ / mix the full band anyway and then when he starts trying to get proper individual levels the drummer starts barraging round the kit. In his shoes I'd probably have told her 'Save it for the show, luv' too
22. When we do them it is pretty much full function fee too. Everyone else involved at the venue get paid, so we do too. We are a working band and never do freebies.
23. Are these decent cabs? I mean, what will they compare with / stand up to comparison with?
24. Same. Waste of time.
