1. I just picked one of these up. Its literally a monster. Does volume like no tomorrow. Beats my Orange tb500 combo hands down. Definitely buy it. Its amazing.
2. I think as its a lesser known model its cheaper. Theres a Gibson lp junior bass here, i think thats the model, for under £500
3. This is my Marshall combo i recently picked up to try out. First of, its heavy, as its probably made of granite, or more likely, mdf. Secondly is that it sounds fantastic, the classic channel has some excellent sounds, as does the modern, and its switchable and blendable. The 4x10's shove that bass into your face too. However, its too heavy for me, so im selling it to fund a lighter purchase. All the knobs work perfectly, and its 300w on its own, or 450w with an extension cab attached. Wont ship, as im pretty sure the postman would die, but if you value the amp more than your postman, ill give it a go provided that you pay me and sign a form saying that im absolved from killing your postman. Theres also the remenants of a sticker on there, but should go away with some elbow grease, or your nearest shops own brand equivalent. *edit* Ive noticed that one of the cones buzzes so it needs a bit of work doing to it to get it 100%. So there we go, based in new brighton, wallasey if you want to swing by for a demo. And here are the pics:
4. Heres a matsumoku number, if im not mistaken. Its a 32.5 scale (medium) bass, that goes in its own way to imitate the stingray. Similar pickup position, but with a P style in a large enclosure. Sounds excellent, and nice to play around on. The intonating needs doing, but if i get bored ill set it up. Probably could do with a new set of strings too. Pots are also quite scratchy and could do with new ones. Preferred collection, but may ship if necessary if the buyer covers costs. Based in New brighton, wallasey. Anyway, here are the pics
5. Heres my Epiphone gothic thunderbird bass up for sale. The gothic is different to the regular basses as it has a mahogany body, in keeping with the gibson line, though a bolt on neck. The chap before me put some gold knobs on, which actually give it quite a nice look. Sounds like a beast as expected. Takes to a pick tremendously. Preferred collection, but may ship if necessary if the buyer covers costs. Based in New brighton, wallasey. Pictures:
6. was there one supplied or did you have to make your own
7. Hey Eric, i remeber you said a while ago, but whats the slot in the bridge used for? I just picked up an amazing condition t40 from itsmedunc here and am just curious.
8. internesting. I may have to try this when i am able to get my pickup winding machine made.
9. See, im not sure if the magnetic field direction is correct on those. Are the short sies the poles or the long sides?
10. I'm interested dude. Is 300w the rating just on its own or with an extension cab added?
11. While on the subject of pickup making. Anyone here know where to get a magnet for a pickup like this? I believe that its pole orientation is different, but i may be mistaken.
12. looks like a really simplae but amazing build. Cant wait to see the finish
13. Not a bad amp, but not the loudest thing.
14. Or this? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/181605-multi-function-swiss-army-festival-bass/page__p__2380684__hl__festival__fromsearch__1#entry2380684
15. Got this a while back to pair with my Marshall superbass head, and ive no need for two of the monsters. Figure i might as well let someone else use one. They were originally designed for use with the Sunn 2000s head, so not a very high wattage on them. Probably the best sounding cab ive ever heard. I can deliver, but it will be based on distance and fuel cost. You can have your choice of one of the two cabs. One has the original plate on the rear which tells you the specs of the cab (Ohmage/model etc) but has a tear in the cloth front. The other has an immaculate front with no such plate. These were kept in flight cases for years so they are pretty much immaculate save for a few missing rubber feet and visually rusty casters. Located in New Brighton on the wirral if you wanna come try it out.
