1. About an hour round trip, a bit of a chin wag and back home. Sound post now reset and action lowered time for a play
2. There's been some interest in the bass so here's a quick update a bassplaying friend came round this afternoon to try some stuff and ended up playing on this bass for some time. We're both impressed with the sound, I tried to uplaoad a video but failed. Anyway this evening I thought I'd have a look at lowering the bridge and the sound post has dropped so I'm off to the sellers house to borrow his sound post setter and look in his spare bridge drawer. I'll try and get the fingerboard and action sorted by the weekend if anyone is still wanting to come and try it Be back later tonight
3. Ok I was thinking more along the lines of being disappointed with them
4. Can't you send them back for a refund?
5. It's a huge price drop and I know my friend is loosing a lot of money at that price. It does need a bit of work, I'm tempted myself but I've got 3 big basses already plus my eub's. and too many other things that need doing.
6. Huge price reduction bump! Now £2000
7. Here's the book of solo transcriptions (which I have)
8. Looking forward to it, although I've only just decided to play myself as a dep I had arranged rang in sick less than 2 hours ago!
9. Twice winner of the BBC Jazz Instrumentalist Of The Year Award, Alan Barnes is the guest tonight, with my band at Balcony, Harrogate Cricket Club, St Georges Road There are a few tickets left at £10 but if any Basschatters fancy coming along it's a special Basschat price of £5

11. Thanks all for your input I had one on trial which is in pristine condition, but I was disappointed with the sound so it's gone back to it's current owner.
12.
Allen Key? (inspired by a trampoline we bought, where the instructions referred to an Allen Key as an "L shaped stick")
Spot on! Well done Count

17. I needed to get a mystery box delivered quickly to London over the weekend so I posted asking if anyone was travelling from Yorkshire. Paul aka PTB was doing a round trip from Croydon to Loughborough on Sunday and offered to take the mystery box and contents (if any?) and hand it over to another bass chatter. So I took him up on his kind offer and drove to meet him in Loughborough It was a pleasure to meet Paul and chat for a while. He's fine, outstanding member of the Basschat community Thanks again Paul Keith
