1. I had Estelle's old album and loved it. I saw her perform some tracks off it back then and knew she had talent. Its good to see her getting the recognition she deserves I love American Boy so will prob get her new album. Nice chops from the drummer and Bassist so she knows how to throw a good band together too
2. Bought his NS2 pedal. Was a good price so didnt even have to attempt to haggle Quick delivery even though he stuck it in a TU2 box just to confuse me when I opened it.
3.
Bought this to sort out the hiss I was getting from my modulation effects... Turns out the problem was actually with the patch cables I was using. After buying some of OBBM's finest, I no longer have any hiss. The pedal does some cool stuff... it basically acts as an FX loop with noise reduction. It has some minor paint loss and has lost its bottom label in velcro removal, but is otherwise in good condition. £35 including postage (UK). Paypal only please. Photos will have to wait for my camera's battery to charge.
Consider it sold mate I have been looking for just the pedal. PM'd

OBBM

PM'd OBBM about some patch cables. Ordered one day and arrived the next. I can only agree with everyone else on here that if you need new cables OBBM is the man to go to.

6. Yeah Breaking/dislocating fingers is a nightmare. I have broken plenty (Arms, legs, feet, shoulderblade and fingers) and by far the greatest pain I have ever suffered in my entire life was breaking my pinky playing football in school. I broke my shoulderblade after that and the pain was nowhere near.

Feedback for sk8

Bought another pedal from Sk8. Great guy easy to deal with. Seems to be going through a hell of a lot of pedals though lol!
8. I wasn't moaning mate. I can see the point in relicing a new instrument. New finishes are designed to last unlike the old ones which cracked and faded. I can also understand the people who say its fake but lets face it, if you want something built past 1980 to age like old instruments used to you are gonna have to relic it. New finishes just dont behave like old ones. You WILL not get wear where your arm rests or thumb sits just from play on new instruments. I like the fact that I paid for something that will hopefully look the same when I sell it on but if someone wants their instrument to look old and dated then its a relic job these days.
9. So wait, he wants £5 just to speak to him about relicing an instrument? I would like to see an estimate on a final price if it was me. I dont have anything worth relicing anyway, just saying.
10.
If its the one I am thinking of then I think it has had a refinish already - so this time it could be considered a re-refin!
yeah thats what I thought. He wanted to restore it to one of the original finishes available from fender when it was new. If its already been refinished then theres no harm in restoring it to a more authentic original colour. In fact it would probably boost the value. Of course that post on TB was a while back. Maybe you have already done it and had it vintigified?!
11. Nice man. I always liked the look of those Celinders. Look real classy. Have you decided on a refinish on that P yet?
12. Glad someone else snapped that up cause I was eyeing it up earlier today at work. Really cant afford it though so bash on Gaf!
13. I switch between Bridge pickup and neck pickup constantly while gigging. All depends on the song though. Its an MIM Jazz I gig with so it really does give a different sound depending where I anchor. Used to solely anchor on the Bridge pickup but started experimenting when I got my new cab and now I am all over the place lol!
14.
Check out my Avvie... When will you sell that to me?... Xlr input and everything... I need to change me pants...
I only have 2 basses at the moment so am not parting with that Plus it was my very first bass so it has some sentimental value added in there too. £150 with a little peavey practice amp! didnt realise what a bargain it was at the time lol! I really need to get the electronics worked on as some of the switches dont work either
15. Westone Thunder II that they stopped in 83 I think. Not 100% on that though.
16. Welcome aboard mate. Good luck on finding the Fretless
17.
What speakers are you going through
Me? I use a Marshall 4x12 400w 4ohm and a homemade (Not by me but Basschats very own Alien creation) 2x10 400w 4ohm.
18.
Anybody remember British Leyland in the 70s, and some of their ghastly cars? Remember how badly screwed together they were, bits falling off all over the place? Remember Alfa Romeo doing much the same thing in the 80s? Was their quality control done by the Chinese? No, it was just bad. QED.
Not personally but..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGpTw7ka9i8 More to the point though, I have a Sound Control Special Superfly amp. Fine once it decides it is going to power up but I have to d**k around with the 110-230v switch over on the back sometimes. A bit of hiss as well but not noticable once the whole band is playing and barely noticable at all when at low volumes (practice in the house). All round not bad at all for £200 but I would not have been happy paying the original price before they slashed it.
19.
Set of strap locks...brand new unopened. £7.50 Inc Postage. Cheque or Paypal...or can pick up. Garry
PM'd
20. Both my thumbs bend like that too. It has nothing to do with playing bass. Trust me I suck
21. The Bassist from my mates old band (awesome chops) and the first band we played gigs with in my first used a laney. 1x15 and 4x10 with a nice little head. No idea of the model number or any other specifics but it served him well over the years and I borrowed it a couple of times until I got my act together and sorted my own amp out. Sounded pretty dang good to my untrained ears.
22. I have always had a soft spot for Bolton but they have never been teh same since big Sam left Seriously though, I have both Bolt on and neck thru. Both completely different types of bass though so it would be impossible to make a decision based on those. I choose dont care but I will chop and change depensing on the song.
23. I am trying to work on it. I dont really have the confidence in my bass playing live enough yet. I play fine but whenever I start to sing it all falls to pieces I suppose its all practice though huh.
24. Sorry ARGH but I had to vote no. Dont see the point of another sub forum for all the reasons stated by other chatters. Could you not just accept that some people are Douches when they post the drivvel that has brought this on? You are trying something new and more power to you, dont get hung up on other peoples views (however misguided). Edit: I have no problem with the idea but feel you might just alienate yourself even more.
25. Very nice! Anyone else notice the booklet says it was tested by Robert Trujillo?
