I had Estelle's old album and loved it. I saw her perform some tracks off it back then and knew she had talent. Its good to see her getting the recognition she deserves I love American Boy so will prob get her new album. Nice chops from the drummer and Bassist so she knows how to throw a good band together too

Bought his NS2 pedal. Was a good price so didnt even have to attempt to haggle Quick delivery even though he stuck it in a TU2 box just to confuse me when I opened it.

PM'd OBBM about some patch cables. Ordered one day and arrived the next. I can only agree with everyone else on here that if you need new cables OBBM is the man to go to.

Yeah Breaking/dislocating fingers is a nightmare. I have broken plenty (Arms, legs, feet, shoulderblade and fingers) and by far the greatest pain I have ever suffered in my entire life was breaking my pinky playing football in school. I broke my shoulderblade after that and the pain was nowhere near.

Bought another pedal from Sk8. Great guy easy to deal with. Seems to be going through a hell of a lot of pedals though lol!

I wasn't moaning mate. I can see the point in relicing a new instrument. New finishes are designed to last unlike the old ones which cracked and faded. I can also understand the people who say its fake but lets face it, if you want something built past 1980 to age like old instruments used to you are gonna have to relic it. New finishes just dont behave like old ones. You WILL not get wear where your arm rests or thumb sits just from play on new instruments. I like the fact that I paid for something that will hopefully look the same when I sell it on but if someone wants their instrument to look old and dated then its a relic job these days.

So wait, he wants £5 just to speak to him about relicing an instrument? I would like to see an estimate on a final price if it was me. I dont have anything worth relicing anyway, just saying.

He wanted to restore it to one of the original finishes available from fender when it was new. If its already been refinished then theres no harm in restoring it to a more authentic original colour. In fact it would probably boost the value. Of course that post on TB was a while back. Maybe you have already done it and had it vintigified?!

I switch between Bridge pickup and neck pickup constantly while gigging. All depends on the song though. Its an MIM Jazz I gig with so it really does give a different sound depending where I anchor. Used to solely anchor on the Bridge pickup but started experimenting when I got my new cab and now I am all over the place lol!

Fine once it decides it is going to power up but I have to d**k around with the 110-230v switch over on the back sometimes. A bit of hiss as well but not noticable once the whole band is playing and barely noticable at all when at low volumes (practice in the house). All round not bad at all for £200 but I would not have been happy paying the original price before they slashed it.

The Bassist from my mates old band (awesome chops) and the first band we played gigs with in my first used a laney. 1x15 and 4x10 with a nice little head. No idea of the model number or any other specifics but it served him well over the years and I borrowed it a couple of times until I got my act together and sorted my own amp out. Sounded pretty dang good to my untrained ears.

I have always had a soft spot for Bolton but they have never been teh same since big Sam left Seriously though, I have both Bolt on and neck thru. Both completely different types of bass though so it would be impossible to make a decision based on those. I choose dont care but I will chop and change depensing on the song.

I am trying to work on it. I dont really have the confidence in my bass playing live enough yet. I play fine but whenever I start to sing it all falls to pieces I suppose its all practice though huh.

Sorry ARGH but I had to vote no. Dont see the point of another sub forum for all the reasons stated by other chatters. Could you not just accept that some people are Douches when they post the drivvel that has brought this on? You are trying something new and more power to you, dont get hung up on other peoples views (however misguided). Edit: I have no problem with the idea but feel you might just alienate yourself even more.
