  1. Chicago Music Exchange has some yummy things. Check out gbase.com and search for precisions, and you'll get loads of shops. There used to be a website, not seen it for a long time, and can't for the life of me remember what it was called...Swami something maybe? It took about 10 mins for the page to load (back in the dial-up days) but there were hundreds of vintage basses. Good times!
  2. pook - Yeah it's the American Bass Player. No worries brother. It'll be hiding somewhere on the internet. kets - Much appreciated brother! 1997 issue must be just after their 2nd album was released and there's some great tones on that. Is he specific about a 'distortion pedal'? Thanks for your help buddy.

  4. What would you consider a good price? I've got a maple/rosewood Warmoth jazz neck with tele headstock and hipshot hb-2 tuners on it.
  5. Pulling the plug on your internet connection helps. I still need to take this step
  6. Yeah, I've never seen them live, but loved them for years. Not sure if I'll get chance to see them on this last tour. Hopefully they'll reform in 15 years like all the other bands are doing, and I'll catch them then!
  7. Ahh! With you now! That'd be great. Even just a scan of the article would suffice. Mucho appreciado amigo.
  8. Bump Offers are ok if peole think the price is too high...I can only say no
  9. Hi folks, I'm letting my Fender MIM/Warmoth concoction go. I've been offered an old bass that I missed after selling it, and need to sell this to pay for it. Otherwise I would keep this bass...looks, feels and sounds grand. It's made up of.... Fender MIM jazz body, pickguard, control plate etc Warmoth Jazz neck with Tele headstock Wizard 84 pickups Gotoh 201 bridge It could do with a setup and new strings (I like my action high), and there's a couple of small dings near the back straplock. Nothing serious though. The bass is 12 months old and has been used lightly. Bass comes with a Fender vintage tolex case in black that retails for about £120. Including the case, I'm looking for £500 for this. Pickup in Lancaster is cool, but I could be persuaded to ship for extra. Here's a few pics for your approval! Cheers gang
  10. I've seen him with both the Ibanez Blazer and various Fender P's.
  11. You're a gentleman. I seem to have every issue except this one!
  12. Hi folks...anyone have the May 03 Bass Player with Mich Quinn from Supergrass on it? Looking to see his setup...mostly if he uses any effects. I know he has an Ibanez Blazer and Hiwatt amps, but he gets some lovely dirty tones and wanted to know of any secret weapons! Cheers folks
  13. I got a telebass neck from them about a year ago now. I bought it in the showcase, so it needed a finish on it and frets etc, but from clicking 'buy it now' to arriving at my house was about 5-6 weeks. Pretty good really, considering time to finish, postage, customs etc. Top notch product too.
  14. It took nearly 12 hours to get the reply, but we got there in the end!
  15. I think I've seen this bass. I'm originally from Barrow (about 10 mins from Ulverston) and remember a band playing a few years back with a very similar bass. Sounded as a jazz bass sounds, but I remember it sticking out in my mind as I'd never seen a vinatge Jazz in the flesh before. Good luck if you go for it!
  16. Hey team. I'm wanting a nice blender for my muff (painful)....These two have taken my fancy, but I want some experiences of both. Haven't seen many reviews of the Gigrig, but it is a bit cheaper than an X-Blender, and i think (not sure) that the Gigrig guys are in the UK and it'd be good to support them! The X-blender has rave reviews everywhere, but is more expensive. Hmmnn. Any tips folks? Also, I don't really want any 'try teh boss ls-2 dude...i'll sell you mine for £80!!!11'...it's between these two! Cheers m'dears

  22. I challenge thee to a duel!
  23. The matamp is grand. Custom made to exactly how I wanted it, great company to work with, and £349 so it's hard to complain. Sounds great too. Fits in the boot of a Fiesta and it can really move some serious air when pushed.
