1. I could use an arm. Always helpful to have I guess.
2. Good luck in selling this...they're great amps. And 160 is a great price. My old one fell off a cab onto a gravel floor and bash the front part, but still kept putting out great tonez.
3. That would be 4. I've ran it at 8 with no problems though.
4. I've got my eye on something delicious and fruity....
5. I have. Bridging them does open up more tonal variety and get's a bit more gain, but I want MORE!
6. I've got an Overwater strap....think it was £20/30 a few years back? I'm 6ft 3 and it goes down to my hip at the longest setting. About 3-4inches wide. Good quality too.
7. Fine. *Drops bassman* *Packages up* *Sends to TaySte*
8. SOLD! for 10p!! (not)
9. That IS helpful...we have a 1980 Bassman!
10. Hi folks, I'm letting my Fender Bassman 135 go. I got it in November, but I'm looking for a bit more drive and growl in a valve amp. Not sure of the date of it...think they were 78 to 83 (or somewhere around those dates). It's in pretty good condition, couple of marks on the top and a few small rips in the tolex, but nothing too crazy. Currently sporting 4 Ruby 6L6GC's in the power side of things. Not sure about preamp valves. I recently put in a new bulb and got a blue jewel light while I was as it (helps for a smoother tone), but I still have the old red one too. Soundwise, it's clean, fat, thumpy, bassy...would be good for most applications really. Looks the dogs testicles. I would prefer collection from Lancaster (where you can try it out through the Matamp 2x12...no obligation to buy!) or I can deliver within an hour or 2 for some extra cigarette tokens. Looking for £400 collected. Here's some delicious pictures...if you want anything in particular I'll try my best to hook you up. Thanks
11. Me and Tayste might plug these all the time, but a Matamp 2x12 would do the trick. £350, can be 8 or 4 ohms, any colour you want, can have neo drivers if weight is a problem, and mine fits in the back of my fiesta with a valve amp and a jazz bass with the seats folded down. Not to mentiuon, they sound the mutts nuts. Just a thought....
12. My apologies...you're right about 320 watts. More speakers should do the trick!
13. The 700rb is 225w into 8 ohms. I bet with the 2x15 you were using a 4 ohm cab and obviosuly the bigger speaker area made it louder. 2X10's are cool for practice and stuff, but can struggle when in a band in my experience. Maybe try an 8 ohm extension cab underneath...you will then be running at 4 ohms, getting the full power from the GK, and have a bigger speaker area.

Nope

Might be better in the 'For sale' section, even though you want a trade. A mod will move this probably. Nice bass though!
15. I've had the Bass Big Muff and own a Green Sovtek muff. The BBM is a lot more tamer and smooth. It still sounded good, and the dry mode was cool, but I kept the Sovtek as it just growls and snarls at me...and I love it
16. Looks like a good gig!
17. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Orange-bass-cab-OBC1...=item2eab1eebbf Can't see this lasting long
18. I played one of these once and the neck was absoluetly massive. I was using a Precision at the time, so was used to fat necks, but this was crazy. Sounded pretty terrible too! Just my two pence
19. I miss this old fella
20.
I don't like people who have no respect for things, I make assumptions they treat people and animals like that too. Is it me being very judgemental as usual? or do I have a point?
I think there's some truth in this. I once saw Pete Townsend throw a puppy into a stack of Hiwatts.
21. Cool, thanks for the reply. Learn something new everyday etc
22. Sounds good, best of luck to you. May I ask though?...weren't the 60's Fenders made with Alder instead of Ash? I may very well be wrong, but never seen an Ash 60's body.
23. I bet the black Russian is sold, but can I ask if it's 'bassy'? I had one a few years back and thought it was absolute trash because it was so tinny and had zero bass in it. The review of it on bassfuzz.com made me rethink it though. I'm in Lancaster too, so would have been nice to nip over the bridge and pick it up!
24. I don't know the answer to the above questions, but I'll take a stab. I THINK the gt200 and bass 200 are the same thing. I know you can get gt120's and 100's for geetar, but I've never seen a gt200 marketed for guitars. As for the whole green thing, I think it was some guy from Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green???) and they've just kept that green thing running. Again, all of this could be lies...but that was how I understood things.
