1. Hi. I need to source some replacement power and preamp tubes for my 1970's Vibrolux Reverb guitar amp. I don't know much about this but the schematic I have says there are 3 x 7025s, 2 x 12AT7s, 2 x 6L6GCs and 1x 12AX7. Will any of yours be suitable replacements for these? Many thanks, Martin
2. Had a go on this last night and its a beaut. Have a bump, mate.

Loopers...

Does anyone know if you can you sync a Headrush (or any other looper) with a sequencer using midi? I use a Roland MC500. Cheers, Martin
4. Posted to Guyl this morning. Its an excellent book - I can play Teen Town now! Not at performance speed, of course. Thanks for this Ben. Martin.
5. One from The Heart - Tom Waits and Crystal Gale. The Cotton Club. Both Copolla films. Kirky.
6. Count me in, let me know where to send the crisp fiver. And I'm a Kiwi originally, but put me down for Yorkshire. Martin.
7. I have a 1970s Tonebender and yours sounds very close. I think mine lets a bit more bass tone through but the fuzz element is really close, to my ears. Here's mine:
8. Thats great. Both my daughters are playing music, and the eldest (14) has formed a band. She's playing my musicmaster bass. She'll be better than me before long.

10.
I got one of these for £60 http://www.lexiconpro.com/ProductIndex.aspx?ProductID=7 Comes with Cubase LE and turns your computer into a 24 track recorder.
This looks excellent value for money. How is the latency for monitoring?
11. Andy (BBN) is a great guy to do business with, a true gent. I've bought his G-K combo and I couldnt be happier with it. You can buy from Andy with absolute confidence. Thanks, Martin
12. This arrived with me today - thanks Mr Sibs (and Ben). guyl next (in a few weeks) - pm your address when you have a moment.
13.
the musicmaster has a strat pickup as standard, so you need one the same size if you want it to slot right it, so a strat replacement is best. The cool rails I used in mine is a guitar pickup, but works perfectly in a musicmaster with the stock pots. I think its 4 conductor to give more options to our six stringed friends, but you'll probably want to wire it so that the coils are in series.
Thanks Jean-Luc. I'm pretty sure I'll get one of these and give it a try. Any other modifications you can recommend?
14. Sorry to reactivate an old thread (or is that the correct thing to do?). I'm also keen on upgrading the pickup on my Musicmaster, and have a couple of questions. The pickup suggested above appears to be a guitar pickup - is that correct? And is that ok to use on a bass? And did you guys simply replace the pickup and use the pots that were already there, or can they be improved upon too? Any other suggestions before I embark would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Martin.

OK, sorry for the confusion.

What's the new price? It was £150 already wasn't it?
17. All the love for this amp seems to be from people who play rock. How would it cope with a Motown sound for a functions band, do you think? And are you due north anytime soon? Cheers, Martin
18. Weekend Bump - no synth dudes out there? MKS-70 is awesome for basslines...
19. OK, so here's my first ever pedalboard (though I've been playing for 30 years...). I use it for guitar and bass. The Chorus/Flanger is rarely used. The hotcake is a temporary replacement for my 1980 (or thereabouts) one with the mid-lift switch which is currently lost en route between NZ and the UK. The green thing is a clean booster which I haven't finished building yet. The board is all my own work! I must build a case sometime... Cheers, Martin
20. OK, here is my first sale and its all in a good cause...to finance a bass amp. A few synth modules etc all owned from new and kept racked. All in excellent condition, fully working etc. Roland D110 synth module - £80 Roland S330 sampler - £60 Roland MKS-70 - £850 (this is a top piece of kit) Roland MC500 Microcomposer (with flight case) - £120 All home use only, kept in racks and cases since I bought them in 1987. Not getting used any more. I have original manuals for them all, but not the original boxes. We can discuss post and packing etc, and if you think my prices are way off, let me know - I won't be offended. I have a live fireglo 1983 Rickenbacker 360/12 that I'm thinking of selling too. Rarely gigged, kept in its original case etc. I don't really want to sell this, but if the right offer came along... Any questions, pm me. Cheers, Martin
21. I've just built my first effect - a byoc (build your own clone) confidence booster - it only costs £7.50 from their UK supplier (http://vibe-o-tronic.co.uk/), was a piece of cake to make and it has really given me the bug. I'm going to build a fuzz or nicer boost next. There's loads of help on the byoc forum and the UK suppliers have been great with my orders. Good luck.
22.
Try here: http://stefanredtenbacher.com/transcriptio...-AintNobody.pdf
Thanks - I've been struggling with this one. I find it difficult trying to emulate the keyboard bass part - are there any good versions with bass guitar parts (say on Youtube) that people can recommend?
23. Count me in after Mr Sibs if it isn't sold. Great idea. Cheers, Martin.
