1. Did this come from an uncles loft?
2. Welcome aboard There's always time to play bass!
3.
You're joking, right? The coolest space craft that ever existed, reduced to a pathetic little bass with a Fender neck. Sad, very very sad
Not sad, it fact very happy! It will hang with pride on my wall next to the Tardis one and the Enterprise one.......... Oh and a Super Yob bass if I ever find one
4.
sell sell sell. its only wood.
This quote sums it up
5. Now that's a bass I really like it and if I had £1800 I would buy it
6. I don't think it's a culture thing at all. There are great bass players all around the world. I saw a really good Chinese chap in a hotel bar in Dongguan. He probably won't get famous over here, he was still talented anyway
7. Hmmmm (no, don't look)
8. Wow, looking good!
9. I have started learning the dots too. (I'm 45) I find it easier to go over small passages at a time. I bought a few musical scores and just read them quietly to myself. Take it slowly and it will come
10. I have never used a pick on a bass. I don't use one on a guitar anymore (can't grip it for more than a couple of minutes anymore ) Fingers only (or thumb when the hand gets too bad)
11. Welcome aboard Would love to learn the upright, just not enough room (so the misses says!)
12.
Hey, maybe we should have a separate fretless area on BC too?
+1 on this ^ I love my fretless I don't have any hero's as such. If I hear a fretless on a track. I tend to listen harder
13.
Despite common opinion, I'm inherantly sensible...
really?
14. Put simply, yes! I started on a fretted bass. I was in PMT one day looking for an amp. I tried a cheap fretless for a laugh. It's all I play now
15. I prefer big rigs for outside.......... The PA is probably best I was gassing for a PJB but it has now passed!
16. I'm in the sell it camp If you already have a sentimental bass, no need for 2
17. My Orange Crush 50w is the same. Plug in an external cab and the internal speaker goes down. Plug in a 1 x 15 (as I do) and the sound is a lot deeper Not worth lugging to a gig, just use the line out and go through the PA.
18. Riveting read! I have led a sheltered musical life
19.
You've been to one of my gigs then.
Beat me too it
20.
I have found the site slow over the past few weeks between 9pm and midnight.
+1 on this ^^ It seems to get better when all the sensible ones log off and go to sleep
21.
Sounds like a bargin! But sadly i am lacking transport so i will not be able to pick it up
That's cool. It would need some transport as each bit weights 33kgs. Cheers Blademan
22. You can have my Marshal stack for £200 if you want to come and pick it up MB4210 with MBC 1 x 15 extention cab. 450 watts of pure loudness!

My tunes

Hi Marc I really liked the flowing nature of your instrumental tracks. My sort of music! They were very quiet on my system (sound full on) so I wondered if when you mixed them, the levels could go up? With headphones, I could tell the mix is very even and done very well. Good job
