1.
I think those TV bassman combo is pretty good sounding amp but is not my thing because of the handle .....
What's wrong with the handle?
2. Get thee to the marketplace ;-)
3. I got a new (to me) power amp for my hifi and it is sounding superb, so I'm pulling out all the best-produced hifi-tester CDs today: Burning Spear - Hail H.I.M. Donald Fagan - Morph The Cat (I don't actually like the album, but the production is superb) Bill Laswel/Jah Wobble - Radioaxiom: a dub transmission Squarepusher - Buddokan Mindphone Terry Riley - Rainbow in Curved Air Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
4. Here's an example of one that sold recently: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/201798-acoustic-image-euphonic-audio-gear-for-sale/page__hl__iamp+300__fromsearch__1
5.
Maggies Farm, RATM
It's Bob Dylan - next line? Edit, fair enough, just seen RATM covered the song
6. If that's your boyfriend, he wasn't last night - Me'shell Ndegeocello "Well, he puts his cigar Out in your face just for kicks...."
7. Looks like an Integra /IGB series
8. Pretty sure the TV combos are hybrid. I'd imagine 350 all-valve watts in a combo would be bad for the poor driver, not to mention your back.
9.
Was it something I said ? is there another thread somewhere or has this thread stalled?
Haha, maybe we just felt contented and complete now that you're coming :-) Really looking forward to it
10. Prestia actually played a Precision, and as our discreet friend above says, so did Jamerson. What else do you need :-)
11. Oh, and check out this Flashback that sold on BC a while back http://basschat.co.uk/topic/198521-warwick-fortress-flashback-l850-sold/
12. Obviously it's all subjective, and the are some gorgeous basses on this thread, as well as some I really don't like. Anyway, really good looking basses, especially in terms of finish? This Shuker:
13.
The Trace Twin Valve looks great on the Barefaced, real retro. Here is my Great British set up - Orange/Barefaced/ACG. The head is a bit too wide, maybe I need a '69er or a Vintage ;-) Anyone fancy a trade?
Cheers BRN. May I say that that is the nicest ACG I've seen, really lovely. You may find a '69er in the marketplace very soon ......
14. Superb job, that's coming from an experienced cabinet maker. I LOVE the idea of built-in input/output jacks and power. So neat.
15. Avoid Silverstone Covers, many horror stories
16. It was anecdotal information that I came across when researching the Genz heads. IIRC BC's Shep got that info straight from Genz. Isn't fundamental of a low B 31Hz? Of course, the vast majority of what you hear on a low B is the harmonics which are well above that. Proof of this is the fact that you can clearly hear your low B, but your cabs, the 411Pros, only go as low as 50Hz before rolling off very steeply. Even the Acme Low B, famous for it's super clear B, effectively starts at 31Hz, so I wouldn't worry about having a 30Hz cutoff. BTW, I understand that the HPF at is bypassed when the bass boost preset is engaged. All my research was on the Shuttle, so not sure on the Shuttlemax I'm afraid.
17. Can you connect the active sub to the PA? Then you should be sorted
18. Nice one Mr Ashdown :-)

21. Welcome to Basschat Chris
22. Welcome to the forum Al. 48 years old and still rockin' - good man :-) I'm sure you'll find plenty of like minded enthusiasts on BC
23.
It gets my seal of approval! I use a '69er and a Matamp 2x12 live. I'm only putting about 240 into each cab though.
Haha, I reckon your 240 would give my 800 a run for their money :-D
24.
What's the difference between the Shuttle 9.0 and a Shuttlemax 9.2?
I looked into the difference between the 9.0 and 9.2 a while back, and this is what I found (a lot based on forum answers, so don't quote me on it): - improved EQ voicing - addition of 3DPM (something to do with power management which improves tone) - improved gain section, although I suspect that was just a better valve. - the High Pass Filter on the 9.0 was criticised as having it's cutoff frequency set too high. The 9.2 has a HPF set at 30Hz, making for a deeper tone. Also, the HPF is now bypassable when you engage the bass boost preset. I think that the Shuttlemax is the Shuttle with an added MOSFET channel
25.
Before sell any of it, you should use it at your next Jam Café gig.
Haha, that would vibrate a few fancy weissbiers off the tables
