    SOLD

Oooo, intetesting! Thanx for the heads up, Paulo.
  2. Probably Mark Ronson going for the full retro effect?
  3. Ooft! Good luck fella, that will be a cool gig to get
  4. Me too. Just don't get the music, quite like him as a fella but just don't get it.
  5. Any Sunday Gospel Bassists take a sunday off for the 2019 Gert Huge SW Bass Bash? I'm sure your God will forgive you?
  6. Quite a few every gig but I don't let them bother me. Played with a guitarist years ago who would crack up laughing at his mistakes & noticed the audience were amused too by him not taking himself too seriously. If you get too down on yourself it can seriously affect your playing I find. I've trained my current band to laugh about our fook ups & it works, we don't fall apart when one happens & we've even stopped a song due to a complete de-rail & started it again, smiling & laughing whilst telling the audience what happened, it has helped to break ice with the crowd.
  7. If its a starter 5er the OP is after there is a Squier Jazz 5 in the for sale section for £225 (not mine & no affiliation but I also have one & a Squier Precision 5) its a cracking bass for the money imho. Buy it, try it for a while & I agree with others to play it exclusively, didn't take me too long to get used to the extra string & positional possibilities it gives you. If you don't get on with it you haven't broke the bank & will prob get yer money back or you love the 5 & can move onto a "better" bass? Tuppence. Go for it & enjoy the challenge!
  8. Similar for me too, wanted to be drummer but considered too noisy by the folks. Mate had a guitar so I went for bass, saved my cash & my folks surprisingly stumped up t'other 50% too buy a jazz copy & a little amp. Still obvs a bass player but have drummed in bands too. Also picked up a bit of guitar, chordage only really & a bit of fumble fingered keyboardage too. I always equate my bass playing in a percussive sense rather than melodic?
  9. This, MC for the fancy guitar bits & NF for singing especially harmonies.
  10. Hi Greenking, yes I read but took a very speculative punt as I don't really have the money but I too have a bass not being used currently. I will have to pull my finger out & get it up for sale! GLWTS!
  11. I had some decent cans & my boss micro cube amp there but even they could not cope with noise level at one point! In ear isolators might have just 😉
  12. Nooooooooooooo! At least it wasn't a bass neck!
  13. Was a cracking day, thanks to team Scrump! Woodinblack is the lucky winner of the missing pedal. Arrangements have already been made for delivery!
  14. Shame you couldn't make it Rich, you were missed! I never got a go on your WAL last year, so was hoping too this year.
  15. Yarp, was my Barefaced Vintage you carried for me, 21 kg iirc. Tbf you could've tilted & wheeled Was a great day, again, too much ace gear but it's nice to try it all out. Your latest fretless was sweet!
  16. +1's to all of the above! Cracking afternoon, great company, great food & lots of great gear. Bassbod's fretless jazz, Woody's 8 str Dean, Yorks5str's 72 Telecaster, Jabba's new fretless. GAS is a coming & she aint going away 😉
