[i]It could be something very early* as we did use Warmoth necks in the first couple years on some basses. A lot of it does not look right. The lack of paint in the neck pocket. 2. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1438.l2649 This looks - and probably is (was) a very good buy. I Could have had it for £789 on previous auction - maybe should have taken the 2nd-chance offer, but was put-off by receiving it almost immediately after the auction ended. Had the non-buying bidder not bid, the final price would have been £711 (previous start was £699). Queried this with seller - no response. Now listed £10 above my offer and £100 above initial auction. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1432.l2649 £809.10 12-Apr-12 14:14:20 BST £789.10 09-Apr-12 10:08:03 BST £701.00 07-Apr-12 23:35:24 BST £699.00 02-Apr-12 14:14:24 BST So, probably woth a bid for a top 5s Jazz, but be wary if you get outbid and then get a quick 2nd-chance.
 3.
nice!
...and SOLD ! (sorry - forgot to update listing as it was included in a 'deal')
 4. Withdrawn for a trip down to JS for refretting.............
 5. Tokyo now Sold
 6.
Thanks for that mate. Is there any sort of protective finish on the fingerboard from string wear? Cheers again!
No, but the f/board is very clean/smooth/unmarked - just some superficial 'roundwound' marks. Photos should show this; I'll add just the f/board photos here (*.... I have no idea as to how long this has been fretless, although it was first listed as such by the original owner in May 2011)
 7.
If you can take a photo of it with 19mm string spacing that would be great
Will do so if I have time, but there's already some interest via PM and still have the re-fretting option. *I've just checked the distances between the bridge saddles (schaller/roller type adjustment) and they're at 19mm currently, so could even be set slightly wider (!). The bridge itself is 120mm wide. The max. distance from B (centre) saddle to C is c. 98mm. I've added a photo but will replace with one in decent, natural light tomorrow :-
 8.
Hey mate. This is gorgeous! I know the bridge spacing can go to 19mm but can the neck width take it without the string falling off the edge of the fingerboard?
Good Question/point, and something I hadn't considered or tested. But I will do so and edit asap:- edit/update: checked, and it's OK. The f/board is pretty wide (not as wide as a TRB-6, and has a nice radius rather than being flat) - 55mm at the nut; 93mm (= 3 & [sub][sup]11/16") [/sup][/sub]at the 24th fret
 9. Listed as a 'feller' as I'm contemplating have JS refret the bass, but thought it best to list in case somebody is looking for a unique FL-6 quickly. Originally built (and later defretted) by JS for James Crofts. Details/specs.:- 1998 custom built 6 string fretless (was fretted) 34" scale 24 fret 7 piece wenge/maple laminated neck santos rosewood f/board brass nut ebony headstock veneer gotoh tuners zebrano body sides (custom shape) satin lacquer finish EMG pickups (45P & 45J) Latest Shuker 3 band preamp @ 18 volts vol, bal, treb, mid, bass locking jack ABM bridge- String spacing is adjustable from 16.5 - 19mm This is the only one like it with the off - set body and the left handed headstock Comes with a Yamaha (TRB) case In excellent overall condition. I've tidied a few things (replaced the stripped p/up height screws etc.) and oiled the f/board. The neutrik fitting is a bit untidy (and doesn't seem to lock). I'll get this down to JS during the coming week if no interest. withdrawn for re-fret
 10.
.... I'm sure this will be snapped up. If not.......well come October .....
If unsold by July it's small/light enough for me to take onboard to Singapore - I know a few bassists there who'll want it.

 16.
Hi no i bought this elsewhere from Cotswolds guitars Cheers Paul.
OK/thanks Paul: guess that must be this guy ('croffets' / davidm) who ebays a lot of FCS in your locale (?) :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120873845717?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Still convinced it's Mick's bass though. S/burst & marks to body front/back look identical and the serial no. (though a bit blurred) also looks the same.

 22. The Ibanez Ashula Bass (Limited Edition) is a 6-string fret/fretless hybrid bass guitar with Sonic Arch pickups - the world's first fret/fretless hybrid bass guitar. Four fretted strings are tuned normal E-A-D-G, to cover cool bass lines, while the two fretless strings are tuned to the higher D and G, for more fluid and dramatic fretless solo work.
 23. Nice FMT Jazz currently on ebay :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190645494973?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 .. but which was here earlier this month :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120851834903 ... explains why "... has only been used very rarely in my studio. It has never been out of the house and has only been used a maximum of half a dozen times..." (although it's difficult to know how the final statement can be verified)
