1. Thanks for the photos (that link still doesn't work for me). Is this the Drozd Excellency 4 iovu_1951 had up on BC / ebay quite recently ( http://basschat.co.uk/topic/182359-sold-jerzy-drozd-excellency-iv-sold/ ) ??
2. J5 Rosewood Pickup covers (£20) DiMarzio J4 neck pickup Rosewood pickup covers Covers: 126 x 22(w) x 20mm / Internal: 112 x 18(w) x 22 mm. Rounded ends and with a cutaway This is the NECK pickup and new/boxed. The bridge pickup is available (above) to match. £45 posted DiMarzio's Ultra Jazz™ pickup The Ultra Jazz™ was designed to fit the original Fender Jazz Bass, which has neck and bridge pickup cavities of two different sizes. Some current basses use the same length pickup in both positions. The Ultra Jazz™ set, DP149, consists of two pickups of different lengths, with the neck pickup shorter than the bridge pickup. The pickups are also available individually as DP147 (short) and DP148 (long) The appearance of the Ultra Jazz™ is traditional, but the wide dynamic range and frequency response of the hybrid magnetic structure allows both vintage and modern sounds. As with the Model J™, hum cancelling is achieved with each coil sensing a pair of strings, rather than a stacked design; even with a relatively high DC resistance figure, the Ultra Jazz™ has very strong, percussive highs and clean lows. Wiring: Standard four conductor Magnet: Alnico 5 and Ceramic Output: 250 mV DC Resistance: 12.30K Year of introduction 1996 http://www.axiomatic...Bass_Style.html

7. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130773521699?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 ... does anybody know anything about this/these bass(es) ?? Seller is 'georgefoxbass' ... so not sure which came first. I've certainly not heard of this 'top UK Luthier' or seen any instrument(s) before....
8. Excellent - thoroughly agree with everything above. Bought an EA cab from Paul: he was generous and prompt throughout all communication and then packed and shipped the unit really quickly. Highly recommended !!

10. Very tempting Pete ! .. I used to have one of the rare/shortlived Marleaux-Pagelli basses, with a similar design :-
11. Line 6 Lowdown Studio 110 = SOLD

13. Steve bought an amp from me - in person: great to have another NE BC'er with whom it's possible to actually meet-up ! Great communication throughout (prior to meeting-up ... on time / as arranged) and really nice guy. 100% recommendation.
14. Hmmm .. was quite interested in this when last listed (April/May)..... :- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/173911-for-sale-1988-alembic-elan/page__fromsearch__1 http://basschat.co.uk/topic/173920-for-sale-1988-alembic-elan/page__fromsearch__1
15.
The bass is sold and will be shipped to germany. eubassix notified me that there is also one on the UK ebay. That's definitely not me. (Kind of strange since the photos are made on the same looking carpet.)
available on ebay.uk, but based in NL. It is odd to see two such unusual/identical (incl. background) basses at the same time (can't recall another Andreas Shark other than mine plus a couple of the 'Basking' models that have been up on Talkbass for ages) .. but pleased to hear you managed a quick sale. :- http://www.ebay.co.u...006%26rk%3D1%26 ... just noticed that the NL seller describes as ' Body material: red body with rubberized opaque finish' - so looks dodgy, as the bass is black and the rest of the description is just copied/pasted.
16. PM'd: these are very unique/unusual/well-made instruments; here's some photos of my old 4-string in red - could be the one in the video (youtube/OP) .. but that's certainly not me playing it (!).
17. Had the pleasure of meeting-up with Andy when collecting an instrument. Great guy, great Bass. Easy and pleasant deal throughout.
18. Genuine pleasure to meet-up with Rob in Sutton (en-route from Singapore to Teesside!) and have a long bass-related discussion, whilst also buying a bass (!).
19. Have now done a couple of deals with Ville and both were perfect. No issues whatsoever and enjoyed some amusing PM's throughout (!). Really generous and helpful BC'er.
