Not my thing really (4s, Fender, came via a trade deal) but impressed by the build quality, feel and tone. Bass is in excellent (mint?) overall condition apart from some minor tarnishing on one of the (2) bridge saddles. Good balance, very nice s/burst and a sensible neck profile - fairly typical of the MIJ Fender brand. I've listed it as 51/54 as I've seen both before and am not sure which is correct (?). Still has one of the original Fender hang-tags. Weight is c. 8.8 lbs (digi-scales) and I assume the rest of the specs. are standard/on-line. Including plenty of photos but an add more if required. Comes in a nice ProTec bag. SOLD

Late 80's Steinberger XM-2 4 string bass in red with white binding. Original EMG Active pickups. Pre-Gibson, Newburgh NY made. Serial number N4089. Excellent condition with light scratches only – looks excellent (as per the photos). Most of these Steinbergers are black or white, this red one really stands out. All original apart from the pickup surrounds, one pot' (correct specification) and knobs (although the Sadowsky-type suit the bass well). Lightweight, rare instrument. 34" scale with string spacing(s) of: 10mm (nut), 15mm (fret-24), 17.5mm (bridge). Hard to price – checking the USA market these seem to go for c. $1250 ..... £SOLD Don't have a case for this, but it will be well packaged if Couriered. You might be able to find an original case (ebay link) or to use a decent guitar gig-bag (overall length is only 100cm / 39.5")..... SOLD SOLD

Acquired recently via a trade, this bass plays & sounds great but has unfortunately been slightly damaged courtest of PF48 and a slightly 'tight' box. Damage is superficial (as shown in photos) but I can't live with it and have other, preferred 4s options. I managed to rescue the 4 pieces of paint/lacquer from the gig-bag seam and have carefully glued them back in-place (so, from distance, the body/finish looks OK) - they sat-in (prior to gluing) very neatly, but seem to have dropped slightly when glued. As my Kinal 5 remains unsold, have decided to keep it and offer this bass (OP) :- http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Bass is exactly as described and shown in OP. The original (tweed) case was never available (from Japan) but it has a new Hiscox. The controls are back to original spec. (Vol-Vol -3EQ). Exceptional build quality & tone. It's 34" scale with 1.75" nut, 9mm spacing at the nut and 18mm at the bridge. Probably the best Jazz-5 I've played...... GONE !!!!

Looks like the one I owned yonks back - and owned by other BC'ers since (and possibly before). I'm pretty sure that a previous/subsequent owner was trying to trace it (but that was quite a while back too!!). I don't think there were many made like it / probably unique :-
