3.
nice one! too many filters already but this is very very good...
thanks abd
 4.
What sort of commission does Andy Baxter charge?
I'm pretty sure it's 20% (and that others charge 15%). So if Joe wanted £2k for the bass (for a simple example - not sure if this is the case), then it would be £2000 on BC, but £2400 via andyb' (and £2300 commissioned elsewhere).

 13. I've asked Joe to weigh this, as I recall it's very light for a 70's Jazz. Also to add that Howard S. (THE BassDoc) has verified all the parts / aspects as being original. (... although I've now already done that). This is a really nice / proper /early 70's Jazz - if you're considering one I'd get an offer PM'd. Joe and I were playing at the same venue on Friday and he mentioned maybe taking it to andybaxterbass.com (.... at which point I assume it'll become more expensive)
 14.
Bargain. These basses sound exceptional if you want a modern sound
Thanks 'S'b': thought it would have been snapped-up at the price cf. other instruments in the range; sign of difficult times

 22. Pretty sure I can recall these being reviewed in the bass press - but it was years ago and they seemed to have disappeared all too quickly. Could this be the same bass (no photos but some similarities in specs) ? :- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/99866-sold-scott-handmade-modern-jazz/page__p__933387__hl__scott__fromsearch__1#entry933387 .. all the other 'Scott' guitar links seem to be handmade acoustics in the USA
 23.
Ah yes, I remember that particularly sh*te bit of journalism. Since when was there a second opinion ever in BGM? Anyway, this Nordstrand is a tasty piece of kit...
Thanks. Not sure if they do, generally, offer a second opinion; but would imagine that several of the BGM staff would enjoy the opportunity to try Review instruments. It's just another angle on those reviewed. Do you happen to be a fan of Bernie G's GB basses ? Nordy VJ5 currently ON-HOLD ..... and, SOLD
