Eye Level. I can remember that one. Was that not from a TV detective series

I remember listening to my Mums records back in 60's. Roy Orbison, Gene Pitney, Bands like Platters had amazing vocal harmonies. I did have a great connection to her Music from the Greek Islands album and to this day Greece is my fav foreign destination. This was one of my fav songs from her singles collection.

What version is the 2nd WAL with 5 pots. Don't remember seeing them before. I had the 4 pot version in 80's. Prefer the first WAL pic. Very nice and i now have GAS thanks. Dave

What was the first music you really liked that was solely your choice and not your parents. Maybe the first single (depending on your age) or even album. Did you ever buy an album that changed your style of listening or a band that you continue to like to this day lie Rush for me. Just a few helpful tips to focus the mind and see what you come up with. Dave

Quasar bass altho that's the model name rather than manufacturer

Think the older WAL's looked neater. Had one in mid 80's and great to play and nothing sounded like a WAL bass back then. Dave

Surprised no-one has mentioned these yet. They were quite different when first appeared and very well made. Bit expensive but if i had the chance i would buy one. Alembic.

Is the centre section a pick up or ramp ? Loving the colour of that.

Always liked the Pangborn Warrior bass design. This is the best colour pic i could find on line. Very similar to Jaydee layout now that i see it again.

I've found a combination of both depending on venue. We've done ticketed gigs where people specifically come to see us play 70's Glam covers and we've done the clubs etc where as you say some of the audience will be there anyway. Some clubs bok you because the band brings in a bigger audience than other bands.

So you're a tanned woman with a PJ then ? That's good enough for me.

Likewise my volume is set to balance against the drums and it never changes between gigs. My amp and bass settings never change even with full PA support. Means when i turn up at a gig i know exactly where my Master volume will be.Guitarists volume does vary a bit because of pedals he uses but he knows about it and is constantly tweaking them to get a better balance for himself. Beatles EP at age 3 or 4 but not sure that really counts. First 3 impressionable bands Sweet Bowie Kiss Followed closely by Rush, Genesis, Floyd, and so many others after that Dave
