  7. I saw them just over £350 when i did a search for them altho i struggled to find much about them. I'm guessing i've seen the wrong thing somehow. How much are they ? Dave
  8. Keep us posted John. Maybe you should have created a new build topic on how you did all this and how you will do the next set. Being a Prog fan i've always fancied a set but as you say Taurus are just ridiculous prices even 2nd hand. The Crumar Bassman looks quite impressive too. Dave
  9. We bit of Dave Kerzner.
  10. CofE are doing pretty good. Big following these days John. Gigging with Pallas aint too bad. I'm quite the fan of both bands. We used to rehearse in Cumbernauld when you guys were in and i even bought a MB combo and ext cab based on what i heard form yours in the studios. Dave
  11. Wasn't what i was expecting to be honest. Really enjoyed it. Lot more upbeat. Saw the DB and thought it was gonna be a bit classical sounding but it was almost Prog sounding. Liking that a lot. Her voice is very catchy. Nice choice 👍 Dave
  12. D E A D d D A G D E .........A The lower case "d" is an octave higher. Not sure what bass you'll be using. The A is the first note after the fast little synth run. Took this from the music sheet as it seemed more accurate than the the other TAB version. Hope that helps Dave
  13. The Way It Is Bass by Bruce Hornsbytabs @ Ultimate Guitar Archive.pdf
  14. That's the current penalty for being in a successful band doing larger gigs. Dave
  15. At the moment its gigs over 500. I think Ivory's holds 150-200 max but that could change at any time John. What that means for you is that you now need to post some sound samples on here Dave
  16. Bass & drums saves the day as always. Dave
  17. Some sound samples would be good John or i could just come along to your Glasgow gig on 26th Mar. Dave
  18. I had their first 8 string Shergold. I requested it as a twin neck with a 4 string. They had never made one before so they use their 6 string bass as a template for the 8 string neck. Think this is the only pic i have circa 1980 ish. I did actually see it for sale on Gumtree and when i contacted the seller to say i was the original owner he took it off Gumtree. Maybe he had stolen it.
  19. Yep i have the 4 string version of that bass.
  20. Post a wee pic of your Staccato. Love those basses ever since seeing Parker playing Blackdog many moons ago
  21. Was def meant well but on hindsight didn't come out that way I've never met or known anyone that does that kind of thing hence the surprise..............honest Dave
  22. Navy to electronics to a defence solicitor. Your career has gone right downhill @Spaceman Dave
  23. Have to admit this thread has turned out to be more fascinating and interesting than i anticipated. Thanks for everyone for joining in. Now we all know a little bit more about each other. Brilliant Dave
  24. Fascinating stuff. I've had a few conversations with you on BC and would never have guessed that was your Daytime job. Please don't take that the wrong way it was meant with the greatest respect @mcnach Dave
