  1. Shure SM58 BETA - knocks ten bells out of a standard 58, and can be had for just over £100 if you look around. Used by everyone - keep an out out on TV etc, the Beta has a blue plastic ring around the grille, whereas the standard 58 is silver. Increased output , robust, great tone and lasts for ever!
  2. Duracell ProCells - on the dreaded ebay for around £1 each if you buy a few. Last for ages in my Sterling, but I replace with every string change to be on the safe side as don't have a passive option should the battery die. Happened only once with a Fender Precision Lyte I had, started to fart then 10 secs later deadsville!! Got a tech to do some minor modifications to the Fender's circuitry which resulted in extending battery life 10 fold! Minimal cost, just penny pinching on manufacturer's part apparently!

  4. Nice cabs ! How heavy are they please - one man lift etc? Cheers
  5. Think the 'bridge' outputs may be wrong way round - should be 1450w @ 8 ohms and 1600w@4. Good luck with your sale - I've used these amps and they are great for the money.

  8. Continuing my clearout / reorganisation of stuff, here we have a pair of Hartke VX410 cabs. Both identical spec - Four ten inch speakers and a horn, 8 ohms / 400 watts each cab. One excellent and one very good condition - no broken corners either, which is often the case with these! Bottom one in pic has lost the VX badge in bottom corner, if I find it will include. Both sound fine, no issues etc So grab an manageable 8x10 set up at a bargain price! Free delivery within 20 miles - I'm near Hull in East Yorkshire. Possible help with delivery elsewhere for fuel costs etc. Thanks for looking.

  15. I've got a Pignose Hog 30 watt job - around the £100 mark from Thomann in Germany. Does the job okay, lasts about 6 hours between charges. Not really light , but manageable. Most acoustic basses have n't a cat in hells chance of being heard over acoustic guitars in my experience.
  16. Another price reduction - great cab at a steal!!
