  1. New pedal board to allow me to play my bass and my Novation Bass Station through the same rig. The Tone Hammer Pre is at the end for studio recordings or for when I go direct through the house but it's normally bypassed live and eq is done on the TH500 head.
  2. I ended up using my spare bass on a gig and it sounded better and I had more fun playing it than the other one, so, it became my main player. A £260 Squier P Bass… so I don’t know what I’d take as a spare now, another Squier? Still haven’t had the opportunity to gig the Ken Smith though… definitely can’t have that as a backup to the p bass 🤣
  3. In my band my keys player sometimes plays some synth bass on his Roland synth where he can split the 88keys in to different sound so bass on one side keys on the other, I can then play a different bass line or double it up on the bass guitar or I also have a notation bass synth that I play for double the synthy-ness. if you get on with her and you’re all pals it’ll just add another dimension to your music.
  4. We just finished our year with two gigs on Thursday and then Saturday night at Bedford Street in Leamington Spa, I played the Squier P for the full 6 hours across the two days and you'll hear no complaints from me at all, it's an excellent sounding bass and such a joy to play. The place was rammed with hardly a place to move and thankfully everyone was in the mood to dance and sing. We've been booked for a further 6 shows in Jan and Feb! Some serious bass face in this photo for you to enjoy!
  5. Like others in the thread I’ve had 6ers and 5ers of the Cort Artisans and they never disappoint such fantastic instruments, congrats!
  6. Played a fantastic venue last night in the middle of Bromsgrove for a private Christmas party. Gig went brilliantly, hired a pro sound engineer for our front of house and on stage sound and he’ll 100% be getting calls in the future for our other gigs. Crowd were really involved, atmosphere was great. The only downside being I have only just bought a brand new Sire V7 5 string for the Christmas shows but at sound check I really really wasn’t feeling it, so out came the Squier P Bass and boom, there’s the tone I want there’s the feel I needed. I see a return on the horizon for the Sire.
  7. Had a few people ask about the weight. on the kitchen scales it’s around 4kg
  8. The most modern we play is a couple of Dua Lipa tracks and if you play “don’t start now” you’ll get to play a cracking bass line!
  9. Lovely pics lads! Makes me miss home that little bit more!
  10. Immaculate and brilliantly sounding Aguilar DB112 with Tweeter. Never gigged or pushed hard. Wonderfully rich sounding cab. I'm also selling a Tone Hammer 500 head which is the perfect paring. £350 to your door. Thanks,
  11. Don’t think you’ll get a better one for this money
  12. Absolutely brilliant amp that needs no introduction. Ive loved this amp but I’m moving to an amp less rig and so it will be moved on. I still have my tone hammer DI though as the eq on this range are incredible. some very small marks on the top but the rest is as new, no original box but will be very well packed for shipping. comes with kettle lead. i will also be listing my Aguilar DB112 Cab soon too if you’re looking for a great pairing cab. £450 to your door.
  13. For sale my excellent Squier 5 String P Bass, crafted in Indonesia (Cort), plays and sounds beautiful, recently setup with a low action and brand new Ernie Ball flat wound strings. £250 collected from Warwick or can post for £15. Cheers
  14. That’s interesting! Would make sense to have such a system specific date!
  15. from the headstock… Sqoe Guitar Design Studio Spain est 1883!?!?
  16. I hear you. And I agree with you and the others here when they say there’s no excuses for bad service. Hope you get the goods you’re after and they do the job for you!
  17. Yeah it can be hit and miss on the phone, but I’ve not had a really bad experience. They would have knocked the £20 off the postage though I reckon, I got a strap once just by asking… did buy a £4k bass though!
  18. Another positive review from me, they sold a bass of mine last week and have paid me today when they said they would! No hassles at all.
  19. Depending on the value of the instruments you’re selling you can negotiate lower commission percentages, I recently sold basses of value at a reduced commission as it still made the store a good cut! 👍
