  1. A lot are definitely going that way, I'm going helix just because the Axe customer support in the country is absolutely shocking and you can't find one to trial anywhere (axe is also significantly pricier in this country)
  2. One recent guitarist of mine insisted on 2 x 100w all valve rigs, one peavey and one marshall... You couldn't hear the damn drums over it
  3. My mistake it was gear4music https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Marshall-1960AX-4x12-Angled-Speaker-Cab-w--Celestion-Greenbacks/MJD
  4. Hey, I just went online and picked some guitar cabs at random
  5. A few weeks ago I'm generally playing on the metal circuit at the moment where frontline and monitoring are provided
  6. I was using my last few bands to build the "model" as it were
  7. The desire won't go anywhere anytime soon that's for sure The need went away years ago! For my own curiosity I'm seeing how it compares A typical band lineup for me these days is: Drums (Kick and Snare minimum to PA) Bass MESA D800 (2.5kg / £1000) + Barefaced 410 (25kg / £840) Keys (To PA) Guitar 1 (No idea lets assume midrange marshall) Marshall JVM205H 50W Valve (17.5kg / £840) Marshall 1960AX (38kg / £700) Guitar 2 (No idea lets assume midrange marshall)Marshall JVM205H 50W Valve (17.5kg / £840) Marshall 1960AX (38kg / £700) Vocals (To PA) PA RCF310As as an example (venue usually provides PA for my case so can't compare) : (25kg / £600) Total Weight : 163.5kg Total Cost : £5520 Although, there would probably be an issue with the PA handling keys and drums Modelled setup : Drums (as much as needed to PA) Bass Helix LT (5kg / £730) Keys Guitar 1 Helix LT (5kg / £730) Guitar 2 Helix LT (5kg / £730) Vocals PA (40kg / £2100) Total Weight : 55kg Total Cost: £4290 Although monitoring isn't taken into account...
  8. In your second scenario you still need add a PA for vocals and at least one guitar cab
  9. No worries I'm glad you like it!
  10. In the software as it was installed they called it "reputation" but we thought that it didn't quite fit with how things are here so we just decided to call it something fun and prat about a bit which is much more our speed
  11. They're from people liking your content, just meaningless fun really! PS. Have a watt
  12. I just wanted to hear what a note sounded like at it's original pitch after being back and forth, up and down octaves
  13. What if you set them alternative down one octave and up one octave? (assuming the OC2 has a +1 octave)
  14. We'll come on! Let's hear it!
  15. Dream Theater on so many levels
  16. I might amend the rules to something a bit less strict in the near future but this covers most eventualities for now
  17. I'm shocked the Hartke Kilo has got such a bad rep in this thread. I've loved mine! The only reason I'm moving it on is to move to a Line6 setup as most venues I play these days have more than adequate backline to support it and I use my bass a fair bit in my home studio. If I still had a real need for it I wouldn't even consider moving it on. It's been a reliable little workhorse and done me proud
  18. If anyone sees any Helix Black Friday deals can they let us know please?!
  19. Another option would be an agreement that you'll play that date for 3 or 4 guaranteed dates in the next year
