pedalmods uk

i sent off my awful boss cs-3 compressor to the folks at www.pedalmods.com last week for a complete overhaul, including replacing the caps with high quality panasonics, fitting a burr brown op amp and filling my request to make it more bass-friendly. the result ? they've turned possibly one of the worst pedal compressors going into a quality piece of kit. loads less noise and a lot more usable sweep of sounds. quick turnaround and excellent updates as the work was taking place. if you're thinking of having some pedal mods done, then i recommend you have a word with them.
  5. if i wasn't in two bands already, i'd be knocking at your door, bass in hand !
  6.
I have a Behringer pedal tuner and thats a waste of good plastic in my opinion!!!!
plus the one. mine just hangs around the living room, looking dusty.
  7.
Go for it - There's nothing wrong with modding a cheap bass - if nothing else it builds up experience, so working on a more expensive bass later will be less daunting.
plus the one. i've got a japcrap jazz bass i'm working on at the moment...i'm going to put some kent armstrong pickups in it, one of which will cost more than the bass itself, but it's fun and all good experience.
+100 I like my red Grolsch straplocks on my black bass - or maybe if I can get some cheap black washers, I'll put the red ones on my GREEN bass
plus the one-oh-one it's not until you install a flashblocker that you realise how much pointless use of flash there is on the internet

  19. is the compression driver adjustable ? i'm very keen on 'lightning my load' so to speak, but i just don't get on with HF drivers. shame if they're not - girlfren is keen to buy me a cab for my birthday !!
  20.
sometimes buffered bypasses are better for your signal chain than true bypass are
sometimes yes...
  21. i guess i've got a boss tuner in my effects chain already, so maybe a true bypass one is a bit pointless now. the boss might be an option. if only mxr stuff wasn't so expensive !
