1.
Is there thread on this forum where you haven't quoted that yet Paul? P.S. Inventor of post-womble here. You can do it with anything.
I don't think so, but if you fond one let me know and I'll paste it in. . Some of Chopin's other quotes include "Oh I say, get your petticoats off" and "yes, it's easier to play in the nip" etc... Not massively appropriate for a bass playing forum. ...or is it?
2. Now £50.
3. "And So I Watch You From Afar" get my vote. Do bear in mind though... 'Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art.' Frederic Chopin
4. That's a beauty. All the best for the sale (but I wish you didn't have to, that must be a real wrench).
5. Actually, I'm tempted to spring for a micro head, I've tried the MiBass but wasn't too impressed. Hopefully this'll sound a bit more lively as I sort of like the way it looks...
6.
Ashdown Pie? ╥ What's that?
All base, nothing on top. So it's a biscuit really...
7. Ah Melodyne, what would we do without you?
8. I've got this 'pricking in my thumbs" it's either carpal tunnel or gout, can't decide which. Marry; i'faith etc...
9. Hartke LH500? Also; is that 200w into 4 or 8 ohms?

I've put them in my project basses and I've never had any problems with them. Will try to record some samples tonight.
11. Bumpage. Great filter, but I'm going for something a little bit smaller.
12. Artec SE2A. don't know about the internal dimensions of the 'vette, but these are a good fit for Jazz basses. It's a modular unit, so the different pieces just connect via prefab wiring looms. Should be a doodle and they're cheap as chips. http://www.thomann.de/gb/artec_se2a.htm
13.
She totaly murdered "you got the love"; and I mean murdered in a bad way. That awful vocal part of hers towards the end always makes me turn off the radio!
Is there a good way to murder something?
14. First 'Van Halen' album. Tuned to Eb and a bit more, but not enough to be 'E'.
15.
. Gotta get me one of those Hotpoints.
Didn't Geddy favour the 'Maytag'?
16. "Superunknown" Soundgarden.
Would you say that he influenced a lot of people to pickup a 5 string in the '90s?
Not as many as Les Claypool, I'll wager!
20. I really like the look of that 5 string corvette. Always have. I think it's one if the few 'non-fender' body shapes that is genuinely beatiful. Lots of manufacturers try to reinvent the wheel, or try to be different for the sake of it but the fluid lines of the 'vette are a triumph of musical instrument design.
21. Personal hygiene is important in confined spaces - so have a bath! Seriously though, get in and set up as quickly as you can. If it's a borrowed amp/already in the rehearsal room and it sounds sh*t don't make a fuss, just try to make the best of a bad situation. Oh, and take a spare lead.
22.
http://www.loewenherzbass.com/ This is me done. I accept most basses, but this is too much. EDIT - Sukop Classic, make's me a bit ill too... http://www.sukop.com/clasic.php
The Jazz retro's ain't too bad though...
23.
Hmmm. Interesting. Have you tried this ? Any specific links I can look at with pics etc ? I tried the partial link above but couldn't get anywhere with it.
I've used this method of 'gating' my new 'supermuff' and, although it gates the signal, you need to roll the volume up to full - essentially you've voltage starving the transistor which results in a MASSIVE volume drop. Hmm, there must be a better way to do this...
