  1. Hi Marc yes I weighed it on a digital scale which I weigh all my basses on. To put it into perspective my JV Squier ‘83 P bass is 4.1kgs, my JV Jazz ‘83 is 4.4kgs. My original walnut 77 Precision sold on here recently was 4.5kgs. The CV basses do vary and a black one that I owned and subsequently sold weighed 4.3kgs. You may notice I’m always asking for weights of basses in the sales ads as it’s important to me owing to a shoulder injury 😊.
  2. Ah right not seen one before looks very unfender 🙂
  3. No I meant one of these an MB 4
  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-DIMENSION-Mk1-4strng/193831413133?hash=item2d2140a58d:g:35UAAOSwHHpe5Lv6 Not sure what it is but it’s not a Dimension. Looks like the neck from one of those Fender MIJ (and Squier) basses they made in the 90’s with two aside tuners. The body is all wrong. Looks like a weird bitsa.
  5. It’s now been withdrawn! Or a deal has been struck.
  6. The seller will feign ignorance no doubt. It’s got a lot of bids for at best a bitsa.
  7. Squier CV 70’s Precision Bass in Walnut This bass is unmarked and as new with inspection tag and new Rotosound strings. It weighs 3.6kgs and plays and sounds great. The walnut finish shows off some lovely figuring on the back of the bass. The neck on this bass is amazing for the money. I bought it on a whim very recently as it looked and played so well but I always revert to my older basses. Comes with original box so happy to courier at buyer’s cost UK only. Sorry no trades.
  8. A little bit heavy for my tastes but what a great looking Sting Ray !
  9. Lovely. What is the beast’s weight?
  10. Not for me Karl on account of the Jazz width neck. A nice curiosity though! GLWTS Mark.
  11. What’s the weight of it please?
  12. Are the rest of the parts - hardware etc. original to the bass? Any refinishing to the neck, original decal? Thanks
  13. I listed this previously then changed my mind but it’s now back up for sale. I can include a scratchplate if required. It’s virtually as new bar the small ding near the trussrod area near the neck pocket where I lazily adjusted the neck without fully removing it. Neck is sold, no other parts included. It’s a good weight with neck and hardware attached as a functioning bass it weighed 3.7kgs. Postage will be £10. No trades. UK only.
  14. As ever great to deal with Alain and have a catch up. Enjoy the bass!
  15. This is a lovely Road Worn bass neck for a Precision. It feels great, like a vintage instrument. There are no issues and the trussrod works perfectly. No hardware included however the price includes postage within the UK. Sorry no trades.

  16. Body is alder but it’s now been sold!
  17. A lovely Japanese made Fender PB-57 Precision. It’s loosely based on the ‘57 era P bass and made around 1996 with the 50th anniversary sticker. The neck is excellent on this model with minor fretwear, working trussrod and easy action . The bass is light at 3.7kgs and balances well. It has been well gigged and has plenty of dings and touch up areas of finish nothing structural however. Hardware is very good, pots have been changed sometime in its history and are of high quality. The pickup has the usual Precision range of tones and sounds exactly as you would expect. As most will know the Made in Japan basses of this era are of first class build quality. I’m happy to post in the UK only at buyers cost. No case sorry. I’m selling for what it owes me and only selling because I need a boiler more than a second black and maple Precision bass! No trades. Thanks
  18. And replied and still available - note that there is no case with this instrument.
  19. It’s alder like all the MM replacements Billy
  20. Withdrawn as parting it out.
  21. Bumping this again. Great cab at a cheap price for its condition. I have had enquiries about couriers but have decided pickup is best on this.
  22. Withdrawn Here is a 1977/78 Fender Precision in factory natural finish, as far as I’m aware it is stock Fender however the scratchplate is not original to the bass. This was bought by myself as the scratchplate it was sold to me with was a replacement part. The electrics haven’t been messed about with and the pickup is stock. The original switchcraft output Jack is a little scratchy but easily replaced. Neck is straight and true. I have added pictures of the neck butt, neck pocket and internals. The only replacement parts I can see are the Dunlop strap buttons. The white scratchplate is a Fender from the late 70’s and fits perfectly. The bass also comes with a Fender case of this era. I’m keeping this I’ll never get one in as good condition with a manageable weight.

  23. I’m not sure of the model but it certainly sounds good and punchy - it was intended for an old US bass I bought recently but I’ve decided to get the original pickup restored. The pickup comes with sponges and non original box. Price includes postage.
