6. Awwwwww Red is such a lovely colour for Jazz
 7. It's a sinister development Weird statistics .. How many school have harps? Even here in Wales they are a rarity ...
 8. Never seen a sunburst like that before - lots of "hide the ply" black around the edges ...
 9. I play bass guitar ... but one gig I do regularly they really like really like me to play the Stagg skinny upright basically cos it looks better - or maybe because I can only play a third of the notes per bar and find all of it so hard I have to really concentrate and not tell so many bad jokes .. Whatever, the band, and th epunters just love it ...
 10.
David Caravaggio?
From The English Patient, I guess .. Daniel Defoe played the part in the film, I think Back OT : A recording captures a million little mini factors in a snapshot of time ... You'll never do it just as they did and they almost certainly won't be able to play your lines just like you. Don't worry because the rest of your band won't sound like their counterparts either... Have a listen to some live albums, even the people that played the orginals can't always sound like themselves ....
 11. great site ..

Well you wanted somewhere further away : One of the guys I play in another (funk) band with has yet another a band that organises the funk shift nights at the globe. They have the Average White Band booked for Sept and Maceo later on ... yeah, Funk goes down well ...

 15.
I wouldn't get too excited about this model - the photograph (for that it what it is) will shrink over time and crack, revealing a not too pleasant piece of wood underneath.
yup The typically over enthusiastic owners thread on talkbass says that too. "You can see the paper but it looks Ok from a distance"
 16.
Reply to M. Jackson, LA BB
arf! Seems to be a busy bands/musicans wanted website though .. Found a couple of interesting looking things in my area ..

 18. Keep the faith, mate. You can do the gig. If it's blues orginals you can sort the starts and ends and wing the rest. No one will know if you are doing it right or wrong. Never sell your gear when depressed. Wait 'til you are happy and sorted and fullfilled.
 19. Forum induced GAS syndrome
 20.
I would love to be 20 years older, I would have moved to London in 1970, married Gabriella Drake and 39 years later, bragged about knowing Nick Drake.
Oooh yes! I have to say that Gabriella had a much bigger impact on my young self than Nick

 23. What appears to be a nice wood capping is in fact an image of nice wood stuck onto the front of the normal wood body.
 24. How about Blues Alive at Bishops Stortford? Nice venue. Good reputation for a good night. http://www.bluesalive.co.uk/ If you count Free as a blues band you might try these blues venues http://www.electricbluesclub.co.uk/blues_venues.html
