I have tried Chromes, too much tension. Didn't like them and also their half rounds, they felt a bit odd. Didn't like them all too much either. Also rotosound swingbass(?) roundwounds, I bought them only because they were the only ones in the shop near me but I hated the feeling of brand new ones and they go dull so soon. I do really like the nickel roundwounds though, so maybe I'll stick with them for now. Want to try some DRs eventually though. And there is still one set of strings that I was given 5 years ago that were amazing but I don't know what they were and haven't been ale to find out. They've become something of a mythical set now, probably no where near as good as I think they were. Ps. All my humble opinion

Looking good! I did not know you could get a P shaped like a J pickup, confusing stuff! Also not having front dots shouldn't be an issue. I went from front dots to no front dots quite recently and I thought it would be a problem but I soon found out that the side dots are more than enough to tell me where I am. I don't even notice the front is blank Also the darker green is by far my favourite

The pictures won't show up for me But I've tried the 5 string version of this bass and it really is lovely!

We apparently have a couple of Gospel churches like this in Weston but I've never been. Seriously doubt it's anything like that though!

The tension on the strings would keep the nut in place without needing to glue but this would probably be better as a temporary thing and personally I would use just a drop of wood glue rather than super glue for the nut That purple looks amazing!!

Seeing them pictures, I'm now very much for the green!
