If it'se getting returned and the sale was succesfully completed, MDP is still getting charged his insertion and final values fees, so he's losing out.
I'm sure that situation is nicely absorbed by his markup

FT: Fender Sublime Bass Fuzz EDIT for SALE as Well £90 Or offers?
Ou7shined replied to a topic in Effects For Sale
it's fot TRADE not sale, so by "hit me with offers" he means - he's looking for other things than money
Guidelines for SELLERS 1. Please use the forums correctly – listings must be put in the correct sections not least because people will not be able to find your item. The 'Other musically related stuff' forum should be treated as such – no selling furniture or exhaust systems please! Items related to bass playing and music in general are fine. 2. Please provide pictures with your listing, or show your intent to do so. It will help people judge the accuracy of the advert and help you sell the item. If pictures are impossible, if you can't get someone to lend you their camera, you should allow viewing of the item. 3. These forums are for selling USED items only. If you are a trader then get in touch with a moderator who will be able to help you. 4. Moderators will step in and remove fraudulent or otherwise dodgy items. If there are any concerns or questions please PM a moderator. 5. You must state a price for your item. Even if your item is just for trade, you must include your trade valuation of your item as a guide for others seeking to trade. Anything without a price clearly stated will be subject to removal. Also do not invite 'offers'. 6. Do not post links to your eBay auctions unless you have been trying to sell your item for sometime (a few weeks at least) at a set price with no success. 7. "Bumping" - The practice of adding a post to your advert for the purpose of moving it to the top of the forum. No more than one "bump" per 36 hours please. The moderators will delete adverts that get 'bumped' too often. -
Holy Carp, my dream tone. I think I've found it...
Sounds cool! I think I'd personally dial out the string sound just a tad but really REALLY nice
I agree sounds ace.. but starts to get a bit much after a while. It sounds like a P bass and a Ric had a baby. edit : Does it have cream DiMarzios? Listening to it again it sounds a lot like my 70s Jap P which came standard with them. -
Give it to the drummer and tell him "count to 9 and then put it down wherever you want". 2hrs later he's still holding it.

That's drummist!
Oh you can't be doing that on here. One of my [s]haters who be hatin'[/s] ... er... forum associates had a big hairy fit on me when I told a variation on the drummer joke on here not so long ago. I sure got my ass handed to me that day. I was duly informed that some of the best musicians in existence are drummers. I later told this story to my best mate (who also happens to be the best musician I've ever played with).... he's my drummer btw.

Isn't it a shame this beastie has been through his incompetent hands too. I was amused to read his description of the ply body "The body is made with laminations of maple and mahogany ...." And yes he felt it necessary to file the nut on this lovely old girl. Also "First job on the neck was to remove the nut and improve the glue joint between the neck and fretboard at the top... a common problem on very old guitars but quite easily fixed." Haha yeah happens all the time - I can just imagine how that "repair" turned out. I came across *this one by accident earlier today. I decided to google Suzuki Antonarra to check who this famous luthier was. I went through 5 pages of results for him (before loosing the will) some in different languages where everything came back with our esteemed friend's auction. Try it. No wonder he's selling these planks he cornering the market. *It's a shame that someone put their foot through it though (his deduction not mine)... but as he goes on to explain "you rarely find old guitars without some element of having seen action along the way" so i's ok then. Oh and has anyone noticed how he now sets the necks up "just a tadge off flat" since it was mentioned on here.

Replacing single pickup with two pups
Ou7shined replied to barryman's topic in Repairs and Technical
Is it possible? Yes. Is it practical/advisable? No. Generally you need to have a separate volume for each or a blend pot. There are various different wiring schematics readily on the web. -
You could load a couple of carrots in it and they's sound good with a J-Retro.

It looks like the adjustment is something to do with those grub screws on the surround. The only thing is I saw this pic and it doesn't look like yours... Try slackening yours off and see what happens.
With all due respect, vaseline/cosmoline/petroleum jelly/gel lubricants can seep into the headstock and cause wood deterioration. ...
In your experience, how log does this process take?
Upgrading a Musicman pre? I'm sorry, but the main reason a Musicman bass losses value is due to mods.
I totally agree but there seems to be a new breed of MM player emerging who can not wait to stick a JE in their newly acquired MM thus rendering it no longer an authentic sounding MM - kind of pointless perhaps but at least it is reversible.

Yep lubricate all contact points especially between the main plates. There should be a plastic washer in there too which functions as a dry lubricating spacer, give it a helping hand with some vaseline too.
i have to say, building a bass from an old violin that he found in a dumpster while looking for his dinner, slapping a bass neck on it and a set of P pickups, then calling it art and saying it costs £2400 is just the height of stupidty. for one, "art" isnt a functional thing. if it is art, hang it on the wall. the problem with that is, everyone you invite into your living room will have to gouge out their eyes. .....
Well with that crappy bridge I'd say it falls well short of being functional.
-
is it similar to the G&L passive boost type thing?
It could be. It was definitely inspired by an old G&L circuit I turned up.

Pics please. The secret to a perfectly functioning xtender is lubrication. I use vaseline on mine with a touch of graphite dust in the nut.

Does AnyoneStill Make Rackmount Tuners?
Ou7shined replied to Delberthot's topic in Accessories and Misc
I had an abysmal gig once down in a famous rock venue in Glasgow using the house back-line with built-in Behringer tuner. Bloody thing couldn't give a constant reading all night, my on-stage was wrecked by a loud drummer and it left me feeling paranoid all night that I was out of tune... no one ever mentioned anything so it was just in my head but it spoilt the gig for me. There's a Korg DTR 2000 on the bay just now. I've never tried one but they are supposed to be quite good. -
A passive bass boost? howsthatworkthen? gotta schematic?...
Just wee bit of black magic wizardry I have in couple of my basses.
