1.
Wow! How did you find that
I'm psychic.
2. I'd like to reiterate what everyone else has said.... .... except that 2 band is best.
3. Is it this one?
4. There are many "out of our comfort zone" tunes that I would attempt with my band but stuff like this just ain't worth it. That song sounds pointless and any rehashing of it would probably be just more pointlessness. IMHO. I've heard V V Brown do like an acoustic set on the radio and there was much better material than this pap.
5. Yup I'd go for it if I were you.
6.
Somehow the matt finish of the p/g doesn't work with the gloss of the body. For me, anyway.
Actually I think he made the right choice. Especially when you see it in the flesh. :brow: I tried the white one on but nah black is definitely the way to go. It doesn't come over too well in pics though.

SOLD

LOL I came close to pulling the trigger on it several times too.
8. Chris bought one of my DHA pedals. Paid super quick through PayPal. Perfect deal. Cheers man. Rich.
9. Mate, I think you should go back to your original plan of selling the neck separately. I feel that if this bass had a F style neck on it then you'd have a far better chance of selling it. Also the pickup positioning is quite unusual (and with that lovely figured maple top there is no going back and very little chance to fix the wonky additional routing) I therefore think you might do well to try a fretless neck on it. I think it would sell then.
10. I always said I'd never do this. Been sitting on these for some time now, they were destined for my ultimate Jazz build (whatever that might eventually be) but now an impulse buy has is making this less likely. When I bought this set they were... ahem... cosmetically tired - just grime and rust really. So I stripped them down, cleaned them fully then lovingly lapped the poles back to a shiny new finish. Bar the neck pup logo wearing a bit thin (looks worse in the pic than in real lfe), for all intents and purposes these pups look brand new. But lets face it these pups aren't about the looks they are all about the awesome sound. They come with 25-30cm of wire each (quick connects) and a handy pair of 25k pots. If I raise the money to cover my impulse buy before these sell then they will be coming straight back of the market and straight back into my personal stash box. £120 shipped. 11. Trop belle.
12. Ok guys the Purist is now SOLD.
13. Impulse buy of wood and wires forces sale of my prized DHA's. ValveTone 1 Purist Bass SOLD The ValveTone 1 Purist-Bass uses a single 12AX7 (ECC83) valve to generate classic pure valve tones. The ValveTone 1 Purist-Bass is a low to medium gain effect and is intended to be used in front of a valve amplifier, but will also work well with solid state amps. The foot switch provides a true by-pass and the LED indicates if the effect is on or off. This actual one is a bit of a rarity as it has the bright switch which is only included in newer versions (perhaps this should be renamed the ValveTone 1 and a half Purist Bass ). I'd mentioned to Dave that this pedal gave me the perfect amount of crunch I wanted but that it was just too warm sounding. Top bloke he is, he gave me the plans and permission to do this upgrade mod and "presto-change-o" valve heaven. DHA VT-1 Standard Bass SOLD Low gain overdrive/distortion similar to the above but developed in favour of active basses. TB review I/P pad control volume boost switch treble boost switch I'll include a recommended noiseless 12v psu with each pedal. 17. Nah stick it on the 'bay. I just missed out on one on the 'bay for 60 quid the other week.
18. From what I can gather from google Ampeg heads use latching switches (the AFP-2 is latching), so yep... probably.
19. Nice looking bass mate. But unless I've missed something, you'd do well to use the search button and check out the current going rate.
20. Ned's Atomic Dustb.. oh no wrong thread.
21. It doesn't smell too fishy and you've taken some precautions. Good luck with the gamble man.
"No fret wethering"
Sorry I was brought up in the country -> verb : to wether (transitive) To castrate a male sheep or goat.
