1.
....I really want this but probably couldn't live much further away from you than I already do.....
Interparcel is your friend. Especially for us far-flung members. I happen to know that is the means by which Graham is getting his new combo.
2. SOLD pending payment. Thanks everyone for your enquiries.
3. I was like BIN and get +ve feedback for nothing.
4. I'm tempted to pull the trigger to see what happens. Edit : woah sh*t I didn't see the description (i'm on my phone). I thought it was just "bass" with no description.
5. Hi Janis. Good luck with the sale man. Just to let you guys know. I sold Janis my GT6B. He's new to BC but is a stand up guy to deal with.
6. I kinda miss mine (especially when I come across pics of it by accident) but my 'ray is the tits so I'm glad I did.
7.
i have an olp pickup if you want it?
Ha ha mention MM building in any thread and you and I are there. totally OT - Sam did you sell your SUB in the end?
8. Apparently "chicken head" is part of the deal. I disguise mine by not keeping still long enough for anyone to notice. I know what you mean about the chirpy trumpety salsa stuff... still a gig's a gig.
9. C'est la vie. I needed a certain something on here to go before I could commit.
10. Hi. MM pups are like hen's teeth. Have a look at Nordstrands on the bay, apparently they are pretty close to the real deal.
11.
...The bass sounded great through other rigs and presented a great foh sound (check it out here a very rare rock excursion for me).
I liked that vid. Out of interest, were you in the original M R line up?
12. Adam : I have emailed your mate about this. Cheers
13. No worries. May I remind you that shipping is only £38.
14. Hmm I was looking at one of theses just the other day. :brow:
15. PX4D please.... but who's Manuel? PMd
16. That's a killer rig Pete. Mind you, that RebelHead looks pretty sweet too. Decisions decisions.
17.
Hello all Here's a picture of my Peavey J-84 Liberator. The speil: JOHN TAYLOR Liberator JT-84 Bass Guitar (2006 US limited edition 'Liberator Series' JT-84 bass guitar manufactured by Peavey, and co-designed by John Taylor and Juicy Couture. This professional, black-necked 21-fret guitar features a 34" scale with custom artwork, two humbucking pickups, and two volume/tone controls with black hardware. Housed in a green, custom-distressed, hard canvas case lined in pink faux fur, and complete with its custom WWII-issue canvas belt-style strap with relic oxide brass medallions, plus a custom amp/tuner, guitar case hanger, bullet coil cable and two plectrums -- PLUS a certificate of authenticity HAND-SIGNED and NUMBERED by John Taylor - #12 out of 100) I have to admit it is the worst bass I have ever played, my "Vester" beginers bass was far better. I was really looking forward to getting this bass, serious dissapoint on receiving it. The bass itself is extremely cheap & plasticy, feels like playing a Guitar Hero controller! It's basically THE cheapest bass that Peavey have produced that John has "designed". By design it's paint design as there are no technical advancements here. It's an art/collectable item only, I would never gig this bass. It's not even listed by Peavey as an officially released item. THOUGHT....John himself doesnt even play this bass with Duran. I will keep it for collectors value. I have never seen any others pop up for sale since.
Good luck with the sale.
18. Dude that's about 120 miles from Aberdeen, which according to google maps pans out at about 5 hours for the round trip for me. Now I like a drive but... I could meet up in Dundee or something.
19. With the stuff I write we avoid "chord chemistry" at all costs to give us an original take on the game. As soon as a riff starts sounding like something we've already heard we call "cheese" and go find the evilness. We write some right discordant stuff but then the vocals miraculously pull it all together somehow and it all comes out sounding clever. I say just write the riffs that float your boat then jam them with the guitar until you find what sounds best - not what the theory tells you to do.
20. Ok let's. I'm in Aberdeen, your're in Perth. I'll meet you in Brechin. If you want to haggle the price, I'm afraid it's fixed - I already knocked a ton off the price to encourage a quick sale. I don't do any mini gigs that could utilise the Cube and I use my main rig for practice at home so I'm afraid it's ixnay on the tray-day but you shouldn't have a problem shifting it on here (in fact there's a guy just posted a wanted looking for a good 100w amp).
21. Dunno, I guess I was thinking about cabs at the time but my Schroeder is still #1 - just seeing what would turn up really. A maple neck for a 6 bolt Stingray would be nice.
22. I can't really think of how I'd get the use out of one but let me read up on it and I'll PM you back tomorrow.
23. Aye, that would be do-able.
24. He's got some interesting stuff going on here....
