1. What's to know? Imagine your bass through a powerful and transparent amp going through an articulate, high quality cab with great projecton. Then imagine trouble free load ins because of the size and weight.
2. Buy a real Ric then. Seriously though, sounds like you need to fill then re-drill the screw holes more perpendicular but you could try putting foam/sponge under the side that dips first to see if that helps.
3. Given the above, it doesn't sound like the amps fault. Sounds more like your passives need shielding (assuming they have no earthing issues).
4. Yeah I'd like to know too. I don't sell on ebay, do you have to select it or de-select it as an option?
5. Get in touch with Steve at manchester guitar tech.
6.
Ta muchly - I'll pluck up some courage and have a dabble.
Lol ignore the confusing spelling mistakes. Typed it up on my phone.
7.
The '51 P sits pretty good with country... but doesn't look very rockabilly (unless it was pimped). It's a new one on me to combine the genres. Which bands are country/rockabilly?
I just looked it up. Now I know.
8.
Should I ebay message him and ask about the finish?...
Could be worth a laff - although I suspect he'll stand by his craftily worded description. There's more on it here.
9.
3 of the cords need repacing.
That's no use. I'd need one that does all the chords.
10. Wow, I was waiting for his big face to explode all over the mic there.
11. I was watching a 2001 MM pup, they normally go for around 50-60 quid. check this More money than sense thinks I. (if it's legit)

13. Shame. No probs. Funny old world we live in eh - that p/g will probably follow that bass around for the rest of it's days... but it will never go on it.
14. Pants. Well if all is lost, why not try what I suggested earlier with the acetone fumes? You might still be able to coax it in the right directions with a rolling pin or something.
15.
viagrafoam?
Haha I should have seen that one co..... uh oh I'm at it again.
16. I pretty much just use foam all the time now (less fiddling about) but I find that if you are doing a lot of setting up and trying different things, springs are better as they let the pups "spring" up to your optimal position quicker than foam which can take a couple of minutes to reach full firmness.
17. Dip a cocktail stick in dark stain (make sure it's well permitted. Let it dry thoroughly, then soak superglue into it to harden it. Then glue it in the wee hole (superglue again) and trim with a Sharp blade. Finally lightly sand over (about 400 grit) to level and blend it in. Voila.
18.
And they ripped off Tauzero's copy.
Haha no way. I didn't realise it was that one.
19. It's Kibisi Douglas' bass from Baka Beyond. I dunno if that counts for anything. I used to love Baka (Outback) back in my traveller days.
20. Got a pic NGH? (preferably with something in to scale)
21.
ok, my two favourite naturals together:...
And here's mine...
22. Not a blob of some transparent rubbery stuff but double sided tape will. You can get some pretty heavy duty stuff at B&Q. You're not thinking of drilling holes in your new Fender are you?
23.
The new listing says you can try before you buy. Someone should get his address and then we can all congregate at his house, like a last-minute 'bass bash' in his front room, and judge him/his bass!
Haha for a moment I thought you were going to suggest that we turn up and actually give him a kicking. I like where you went with your idea in the end though.
24. I'm not sure if warm water would do anything. Putting it flat in a sealed container with acetone fumes (nail varnish remover) might make it malleable enough to flatten out. This is just off the top of my head like so it might be worth experimenting with the tip first.
