1. Sounds like it's picking up the wireless signals from nearby. Is it a wireless mouse? You could try shielding your amp with tin foil - don't do anything dodgy that might give you an electric shock ie stay away from the mains lead. You don't need to be too finicky with it to start with just cover the outside... but don't let the men in white coats see you doing it though.
 2.
I knew you'd come around! That Sue Ryder bass looks great, doesn't it?
But... but... Oh what's the use, I fookin love it ok?
 3.
I love natural finishes too. My 75 reissue jazz is ash body with rosewood neck and pearl block markers. Yummy. If I ever bought a Stingray it would have to be natural too. They just seem to suit a natural finish better than any other. Frank.
+1
 4.
I love natural finish basses, P or not... but hey, look what my last GAS attack brought me
Yum.
 5.
A perfectly good Yamaha?
6. It's back on the bay. He's looking for £400 this time. link

 8. Holy cow. I wonder if it's hiding something.
 9.
Its up to £606 now, anyone having a bid? I might if it stays sensible and the wife will let me ;o http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Save it and buy a pickguard.
 10.
You'd have to be either mental or have more money than sense to buy a scratchplate for £89! ....
There was a thread not all that long ago where a privileged BCer was defending paying £500 for a Fodera one? I suppose it's ok if you're luck enough to be in a position where you can save up your child tax credits to go toward ostentatious crap.
 11. Do they both have identical value capacitors? I'm as flummoxed as you but thinking outside the box perhaps they both hum, only one bleeds off more highs (where the hums tend to sit) which makes it appear to not hum. I'm sleepy, does that make sense?
 12. Is their pound of flesh worked out on the total fee (incl p&p) paid by the seller?
 13. Haha I'm obviously rubbish at japcrap Jon. Everything I point out seems to be on your sh*t-list. I like the lines of that Top Twenty and even if it was was a bad'un it wouldn't stay that way for long after I gave it a going over.... I wouldn't shell out £120 on it though, my mind's eye figure is still in the market we had a couple of years ago.
 14. The B2.1U is a great pedal (I remember the ZNR being particularly useful on it) but with all the different parameters it's possible to layer on a single preset it's quite easy to over do it and end up with some real mushy effects. Have you considered a factory reset and just staring over. I like my L-1000 just straight in.... but it's different beast really.
 15. I like this wee beastie... probably because it can't make up it's mind if it's P or a J.
 16. A teeny tiny spot of superglue.
 17. I never knew Tom Waits was on BC.
 18. If it's just for a one off job (not much more) then cheapos like this will do ya fine. I've been using a B&Q set for years and they are still ok for most jobs.
 19. T'ain't no bad thang neither.
 20. Ooh killer rig!
 21.
Didn't she have a song called "Dirty" or "Fithy" or "Manky" or something... not my type of music.
Speaking of manky, my only Christina Aguilera fact is that when she came to play up here she was told by someone (might have been Biffy - not sure) that she was a "radgey wee midden" and that in Scottish it meant that she was a pretty girl. For those not up on Scots dialect, it eludes to the fact that she was a manky eyesore. Thinking she was down with the lingo, she chirpily mentioned it a few times on our local telly, in radio interviews and I heard even on MTV too. Classic.
 22.
I'm not seeing anything referring to Christina Aguilera
Didn't she have a song called "Dirty" or "Fithy" or "Manky" or something... not my type of music.
 23.
I personally think £1500 is a bit high, especially given the condition. Having said that - if you put it on ebay and 2 people want it, then it could sail past that. OTOH, you might only reach £800ish.
I'm no Gibby expert but this is what I felt too.
 24.
an OLP, probably
Touché.
 25.
Imagine if you snapped a string and had no back up bass
TIM
