1. I play 2 30.5" scale basses and they are definately bassier, but then that could be down to the complicated electronics
 2. having used these pointy things since 1985, I have become (reluctantly) somewhat of font of information on them and find rare stuff for people from time to time. B.C.Rich doubleneck Bich basses are VERY rare, only 7 are known to have been built. I have known for about 6 years, that the Spinal Tap Doubleneck Bich bass was in the vaults at the Chicago Music exchange.I spoke to them a few years ago, asking for the serial # and pictures, they wouldn't give them to me, but wanted $50,000 for it So, doing a search for the Archive today, I found Chicago Music exchange selling the Bich, for $20,000, sh*t, I even offered to do a straight swap for my Lynott Mock  I then offered it to a friend of mine, and he said "What, This one" and sent me THIS Picture WTF???? Please take some time to study the Grain Pattern of the bass and notice the Kahler made Brass Bridge on the 4 string neck THAT is NOT the bass Chicago Music Exchange is selling, this IS To be fair, nowhere in their advert, does it actually say, this IS the bass from the film, although on the emails I had years ago, they believed it to be the Spinal Tap Bich So, it got me wondering, Chicago's bass has a 1986 serial #, I checked, the Film came out in 1984, the grain pattern and bridge is wrong BUT please study this bass? "Yuck, WTF" etc etc was said about it back when it was for sale, I found a buyer for it, he was desperate for a doubleneck, study the grain patterns on the bass, and the bridge, This Gentlemen, and ladies IS the Spinal Tap Bich bass. Here it is in the 1985 B.C.Rich catalogue Here is the VERY same bass in the 1982 catalogue It has often puzzled the owner and myself, as to why the hell B.C.Rich would spray the necks on this bass and change the pick ups, I thought it was because they didn't sell it the first time round, so they thought they would change it a bit to see if they could get a punter for it. I now firmly believe, BCR lent them the basses, when it returned, they KNEW people would know it was a used bass, so thought that if the sprayed the necks a different colour, changed the hardware and pick up colour, nobody would recognise it as the Spinal Tap Bich It is virtually impossible to get 2 guitars, in this case basses, with Identical Grain patterns in the wood My friend is Stoked, so am I, for him We now know EXACTLY where the Spinal Tap Bich is Lorne
 3.
Mine has a differnt (VERY NICE!) Maple cut on the fretboard, I'm almost certain he has no birdseye maple board ones? Most of his are touched up at YASH though, like the gloss finish one! I'd MURDER for that and the one with the pearloid pickups xD and his all chrome one? Its selling for about $9000-$10,000 :'( haha
Take a very close look at his red on on the Cherry Lane "Bass Secrets" video, it has a Bird's Eye Maple fretboard
 4.
Hmmm Hows about the Level 42 30th Anniversary Status King Bass Yamaha Attitude (the original and/or II) Fender Roscoe Beck Fender (Stu Hamm) Urge Gary Willis' GWB Ibanez (though not the cheaper one) Vigier Roger Glover Excess Fodera Yin-Yang (as used by Victor Wooten) Zon Michael Manring Hyperbass The deciding factors in all of the above being either; 1) The bass was good enough in relatively standard trim and was adopted by the artist with few or no changes or 2) The artist and manufacturer collaborated and built a signature model from the ground up- as in the case of the Roscoe Beck and Urge and (not quite) The Yamaha Attitude. All 3 of these basses are nothing short of formidable, as those hereabouts who own them will confirm!
To be fair, all of the basses you've mentioned, are a lot dearer than the Paulo Warlock thing. And, someone once said to me, that the Yamaha Attitude LTD is EXACTLY the same as the ones Billy Sheehan uses, it was Billy himself that told me that, BUT, look closely at his Red one, it has a Bird's Eye Maple fretboard, I have never seen an Attittude with one of those, I owned one of the blue ones once many years ago As for the Warlock, there are better basses available, and if you want one Identcal to his one, the customshop will strip your wallet of over £3000 for the privilidge
 5. 129.5cm Oh, sorry I thought you meant the length Not very often, I have 3 kids, they suck practice time right out of you, years ago it used to be 8 hours a day, helped that I worked in a guitar shop though
 6. If that is Brazilian Rosewood, then they must've searched high and low for the shitiest piece they could find I have basses with Brazilian Rosewood fretboards, and they are a reddish/brown colour with dark grain patterns on them
 7. Daddario EXL 170's in 4, 6 and 8 string Tried a few different makes and even had the Bass Centre force a set of Elites on me once (They lasted 20 minutes before I ripped them off the bass and gave them to a customer) So Daddario's for over 20 odd years
 8. Here's mine
 9.
That's all very well, but you have not updated us on the small fluffy cute teddys. Do you still own any of them as well?
Alas, they all suffered the same bizarre, unexplained deaths, all of them had puncture wounds,we are just awaiting the pathology reports before continuing the investigation into their demise.Off the record,it looks like homicide
 10. /\ Ah,Gibson and Yamaha, went to the same school of customer relations then LOL My Yamaha Attitude LTD cost a fortune £1200 (I consider that a fortune) in 1992,but they couldn't care less
 11.
You wouldn't happen to live in Aberdeen would you? haha
Couldn't be further away if I tried,I'm in Plymouth,Devon
 12.
Do you have a JM1 or a JM2? I'd murder again for either! My Attitude (new one though!) is flawless, its very very dear too me, i played one of the blue 'uns which was old and it seemed pretty could, though i guess alot of people bought them for who sheehan is and were over protective of them (like me and mine haha! Only 50 around i hope at least!) I am hopefully saving for a JM2 and will get one soon enough, would be a dream come true! And will some day own a Turqouise JM1 too Ahh to dream! Damn GAS!
Once I had rebuilt the Attitude,it was bloody awesome, but I had fallen out of love with it by then, because of all the problems and Yamaha's lack of effort,I ended up swapping it to a guy for a full Trace Elliot stack I'm not very interested in the JM2,I would buy one IF it was dirt cheap,I just think they didn't put enough effort into it after the superb JM1,they should have made the JM2 better than the JM1,but they didn't IMHO Here are mine
 13.
Blashphemy! Quickly grab the Pope! Haha sorry, I'd murder for a Yammie Attitude in Blue, only 150 around! Beautiful, i love pretty much every yamaha bass ever made, Hmmm never really thought about that, i have a thing for all yamaha necks, they seem to think my way! Worst however? I once had for about a day an old Dean, it was horrible either that or the Epiphone Thunder bird
I wouldn't put too much faith in the 150 ever made statement I bought my Attitude LTD NEW in 1992,it arrived all shiney etc etc,I did the thing the bass is reknowned for, bent the neck forward and POP,I had to take the bass apart and rebuild it,Yamaha had not tightened the neck to the aluminium block or the block to the body It had "Made in Taiwan" stamped into the rear of the headstock, which pissed me off,as I thought I was buying the top of the range 4 string the Japanese guitar company made, you would have thought it was made in Japan at least Anyway,After a month the front volume pot ceased working, servicol wouldn't cure it,so I phoned Yamaha for a new pot, their reply was "£15 plus VAT sir",wouldn't even budge when I told them the bass was 1 month old,I refused to buy it and took the original pot apart and rebuilt it Not long afterwards the Hipshot arm wore out, phoned Yamaha again,"Hipshot's problem, not ours".Shame for them, but a friend of mine back then, was good friends with Dave Borisoff, owner of Hipshot, and gave me his Ranch address,so I sent a letter off to him.A week or so later I got a reply, full of expletives about Yamaha and a new arm,Aparently the Hipshots were made by Yamaha under licence and were using sub quality metal at the time,Mr Borisoff wasn't happy and told me he had had 7 complaints that week from Yamaha owners I then saw a factory tour of a Yamaha factory, and there were several crates of LTD necks, hundreds of necks,so I Phoned Yamaha (I was in the trade) and asked "Just how limited is the Attitude?".Their reply was "Limited to how many we can sell". After I had rebuilt the bass it was awsome, but Yamaha's Attitude sucked back then Roll on 13 years,I finally broke down and bought a Yamaha John Myung, one of the control knobs was tarnished,so I decided to buy a new set.I phoned the spares department to be told £10:50 EACH,so I ordered 1,not 5.They asked for the bass's serial # etc etc.2 days later a knob appeared through the letterbox,a Black plastich knob with a gold insert with Volume written on it!!!!!,It was an Amp knob.Phoned them up,had to pay for the knob again, and send the old one back to get a refund for it (Don't recall if I got the refund). The new gold metal knob arrived and was NOT exactly the same shape as the originals 2 months ago I phoned Yamaha again to enquire which of their hardcases would fit a John Myung as I now have 2 of them. The guy didn't know, but promised to get someone who did,to phone me back the next day...........I'm still waiting So it would seem,Yamaha's attitude still sucks
 14. Yamaha Attitude LTD in blue Put me off Yamaha for many years
 15.
I love this pic you don't get anymore metal than a room full of sharp guitars killing small fluffy cute teddys.
Thanks,I will have to update this picture at some point soon,3 of those basses have left, several others have arrived and the settee has left as well. It would be nice to have all of them here at the same time to get pictures of 'em though
 16.
ASAT looks fantastic! Had a rough quote from the UK dealer.....wow, expensive for a posh-passive Jazz. I bet they are incredibly well made, but its a lot to stump up for an instrument Ive never even seen. We are talking over £2100 retail (ok the stores would be quite a bit below this I realise!).
Wow,they haven't gone up that much in 20 years,I remember mine was quite a bit over £1k
 17. That is cool as hell, now,I wonder if the wife will notice the lack of clothes in her wardrobe?
 18. I had an ASAT in the early 90's,damn thing nearly gave me a hernia,,,heavy as a really heavy thing, sure it was made of concrete, very powerful pick ups and a pretty fast neck, but did I mention it was heavy?
 19.
Ace, notice how they are different shapes?
That's because we have TJ Mocks and he has an El Monte Mock, there is also the Shorthorn Mock
 20.
I love your swap-shop antics on the Biches.
Funnily enough, this is the second time I've owned this 1979 Bich 8,I sold it in 1992/3 First time I got it,I swapped a brand new G & L Asat for it The other 1979 Bich 8 i used to own cost me a mint Washburn Status and £100,I sold that in 1993,I know where it is today, but the guy is out of his mind for how much £££'s he wants for it,considdering the damage he has done to it,I offered him £500 knowing I would have to spend around £600 to get it right again, but he refused, shame,he'll be keeping it then LOL
 21. Wow,Gust0o,you got Wonky that cheap!!!,I paid over double that for her As for my stuff, wouldn't have a clue on some of them here is what I can remember 1994 Widow bass £432 + £20 shipping and currently having over £500 of work done to her 1985 Ironbird bass $1700 + shipping (Known to be broken before purchase) 2007 Widow bass $2400 (I think) 1985 Bich Supreme $3200 1987 ST bass $600 1979 Bich bass - swapped 1978 Mock bass - free 1981 Mock bass - free Blue Yamaha RBX 6JM - swapped for a BCR guitar I paid less than £300 for Red Yamaha RBX 6JM - swapped for a BCR bass I was given Ibanez RG 570 G**tar - free 1990's BCR Warlock NJ II - probably around £300 So £6,000 odd,but actual value would be hard to judge as some were given to me,some I got amazing deals on,some I swapped Replacement value would also be hard to judge, for example the retail cost of the 2007 Widow bass in the USA is $5,895,roughly £3,800,but Rosetti have a habit of removing the $ sign and replacing it woth a £ sign without any adjustment in the actual figures
 22.
Well, Wonky came home to roost, a little over 12 months after I first spied her - so there's hope for the Innovator, yet
The Innovator headed home to the USA
 23.
They don't have the body art though
The Body arts were G**tar only,no basses in any of the designs, although you could always find an old NJ Bich bass, find a girl with a nice ass, take a picture and then have it copied onto Vinyl and apply it to the bass.Don't use a Vintage USA Bass like mine though,it'll cost ya a bleedin' fortune just for the bass
 24. Found a better picture of the Innovator with Wonky beside it
 25.
I've still yet to see either one of those in the flesh! You don't see many around, not least on this side of the pond.
Ah,Gust0o,you missed out mate,I had a 1996 USA thru neck Innovator, but sold it,and Wonky so I could buy my 2007 Widow Excuse the uglyness And a friend of mine in Poland has a USA Bernardo 5 in black Mazdah, might even be that one you showed
