Jeez that's a scary pic
In what way? It's a damn expensive pic
-
And here's a picture of the one I sold,with the other 2 I own,the one I don't is at the front
-
Ok, no laughing, this picture was taken in 1992,just before I sold both of these 1979 USA B.C.Rich Bich 8 string basses Then in 2003/4,bidding on another one (VERY expensive) on US Evilbay A guy in the UK contacts the seller saying he has one and asks to pass on his email addy to the winner (Me),turns out he has one of my old Bich 8's (the one on the left of the ancient picture) and I had the warranty card for his bass!!!,so I gave the card to him Anyway, swapped a Yamaha 6 string bass and flight case for it I also know where the other '79 Bich 8 is,offered a fair price for it,considering the damge to it,but he declined, but I have first dibs on it
Hey Guys Just picked up a 2001 BC Rich Mockingbird Korean bass. The problem with it is that the headstock always falls towards the floor when you let go of the neck. I know that its no doubt the sh*te way it was built and is a problem with BC Rich's in general, but it is essential that I play it without having to constantly support the neck. Any ideas how to sort this problem? Thanks Shippo
Strongly worded,Sh*te way it was built? Maybe sh*te way it was designed, but If you want a kickass shape, you've gotta learn how to tame the beast As someone else here pointed out, neckdive is a problem with basses where the front strap button is away from the 12th fret First off,Straplocks are a must, then get the widest leather strap you can find BEFORE moving the strap buttons With a Mockingbird, players have learnt to use their right forearm to always rest on the rear top of the bass and you think you've got problems! LOL

Sei original Headless 6 stringer or a flightcase for my B.C.Rich Ironbird (could do with one for my '79 Bich as well)
I think that company's owned by Ed Roman, he usually has a few of Steve Vai's Jems knocking about and a few things signed by Eddie Van Halen and Billy Gibbons that he lends to casinos in vegas for glass-case displays.
No,this site isn't owned by the Lepricaun This one is, http://www.edroman.com/guitars/rockstarowned.htm And by being owned by him,I would want ANY guitar DNA tested to ensure it had been in contact with the alledged player/owner before I parted with any money, which wouldn't happen anyway,as I wouldn't spend a brass farthing with him
Money is in my account now, Jamie's kept me posted with the progress today and all is well. Bank shows £200 gone through as automated credit
Excellent news, thank you for keeping us posted And thank you Jamie for doing the right thing
-
First bass is a APB - 90 from the 1995-96 catalogue Second one must be from after 1986,as this is the closest I could find, and there are too many differences I hope I helped a little
-
lemmywinks - please let us know when you actually recieve the money into your account and If it happens,a good move on behalf of the buyer, and I commend him upon it

It is such a shame that in today's society, the laws seem very firmly on the wrong doer's side, yet whoa betide you if you do 5 MPH over the speed limit To the original Poster,I hope you can get this sorted out,and LEGALLY,don't drop yourself in the brown stuff because of a liar
My mockingbird is also crying out for use heres some pics. I don't know much about these basses, except this one is neck through and has nice headstock inlays I'd accept cash for this one, if no trade offers come up
If it still has the serial number sticker on the rear of the headstock, email the number to me and I'll try and tell you all you need to know about it Lorne
Lorne, The Atilla guitars & basses had a volume & tone knob for each pickup, a coil tap for each pickup & an out-of-phase switch which works when both pickups are selected. It's basically the same set up as a BC rich circuit minus the preamp & the Varitone. My old Odyssey bass (the one at the start of this thread) sounded quite similar to the late 70s rich basses I've played. The build quality was comparable too.
Cool,thanks,shoulda sounded killer then

BC Rich Bich Yeah,it spelt differently, but it's pronounced the usual way
-
I got a Brand new Customshop B.C.Rich Widow bass in 2007,retail price in the U.S.A. is $5,895,I paid way less than that, but,it is NEW,and,it has overspray marks and it looks like it was placed down somewhere when the paint wasn't 100% dry (Very minor paint issues on a pointy bass),my verdict,GREAT,now I don't have to be worried about playing it and scratching it However,on a bolt on bass, like yours,I would expect the screws to be put in straight!!
-
Those definately look like DiMarzio's I have several B.C.Rich Basses with double DiMarzio P pick ups I'm very interested as to what the electrics on this bass do,as it loks similarly made to a B.C.Rich,Grover Titans,Badass, twin P's,lots of switches etc
