1. Just after posting I looked into the EBS microbass and realised it was a perfect fit - at a very high price! Thanks for the suggestions, I'm looking into them.
2. Looking for a bit of easy advice here I've been messing about lately using an analog bass synth - a proper little keyboard one as opposed to a pedal. This is to do with giving my shoulder a rest as it's been giving me some stick. The thing is I'm actually quite enjoying some of the options its offering (even though we have a keyboard player already) and I might like to put it to good use live as well. My question is - is there some sort of little gadget box I can use to run both my bass and synth into my amp? I looked into 2 channel mixers, but that seems to fall into the "DJ" sort of category and isnt really what I'm after. Maybe some sort of multiple line in pedal allowing you to balance the inputs etc? Any pointers appreciated, I'm sure there are plenty of products available. Jas

4. Recently sold my Line 6 XT floor pod thingy to Col - nice and easy, pleasure to deal with.
5.
Has it sold NOW then ???? S
YES YES YES! it's sold
6. I had a bad experience with a planet waves cable - it has a small sort of expansion ring around the base of the jack designed to maintain better contact at all times. However mine managed to split and jammed the plug into the socket - I had to practically destroy the plug to get it apart and then fish out the bits of metal from the socket. Luckily this happened at the amp end, not the "my 1974 precision" end. Won't use them again myself.
7.
thanks guys, a few hours before the gig i had my car hit in the rear, i was driving along when some young lad through a large snowball at my windscreen, i braked sharply and the guy behind me hit me, still drivable but i am hoping that theres enough damage to write it off so i will get some money to buy an estate as it is a pain getting the double bass in my present car, cheers, Jez.
Nice one Jez! I'm glad the old girl is getting some good use after all. I certainly miss that sound, but maybe I'll get back to the DB another day... Keep up the good work J
8. Seeing as I had a little upgrade I figured I'd keep things up to date. The 3U case is a little over the top but I *ahem* obtained it from work (It cost £330 when I ordered it from RS, then it vanished and turned up in a skip! so I figured they didn't want it anymore) The amp is taking a little getting used to after the Markbass, but I love the articulation it allows. Hardly played with the second channel yet, looking forwards to cooking up some gritty tones. Slightly unexpectedly I seem to be settling on my Sterling HH as my "go to" bass. Maybe because all that clarity and tone on the AG500 seems wasted on my P bass with flats... (joke) J
9. Been looking into lights for the band lately - they look pretty decent. Thanks for the link J
10.
Is it sold ??
Sorry, forgot to update this thread - it's on hold for Col awaiting payment. J
11.
Tilt that thing the right way up you nutter, you'll rip the chocolate off!! I'm thinking of grabbing me 2 of these cabs and an AG500, would you say they are THAT heavy?
James, I hefted these about a fair bit at the Bassmerchant the other day when I bought my AG500 - I had actually gone there to A/B the DB112 against my GS112 with the intention of buying new cabs They are perfectly manageable in the 12" format, it's the 2x10" and upwards that starts to get heavy quickly. I certainly wouldn't worry about the weight of these and I have a pretty bad back. Lovely little rig lowfer, congratulations I loved the sound of the DB's and felt they suit my tastes slightly better than the GS's but I was chatting to another basschatter at the time who made me realise that they might not be all that rugged for lugging around to gigs etc with the cloth grilles and peened corners so I decided to stick with the GS112's... Still, good excuse to have bought the AG500 instead! J
12. SOLD to a fellow basschatter (joerattray) - thanks to all those who expressed an interest.
13.
Make it mine - PM me your address and I'll send you a cheque! Col
PM'd back
14.
£499 brand new with warranty here: http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/shop/view_p...CFQ0gQgodRScfmQ
Fair comment, I had not trawled the net I just based it on the price at the BassMerchant who I had always thought competitive. So I had based it on £520 for the amp and £75 for the bag - they are not cheap bags. J
15. I literally just bought this from Steve here on Basschat - I honestly tried my best to be technically minded and look at something like this, but hand on heart I realise it's just not me. My motto is "more is less" and I broke my own rule by even thinking about this hugely powerful box of tricks. Having hooked it up to my laptop and looked at what it could do I don't think there's much in there that it can't do! You can also download other peoples tones etc which I found easy to do to test out some different ideas. I don't actually use any effects right now, and having splashed out on an Aguilar AG500 I have a very simple distortion channel available on my amp and that will be plenty for my limited brain. It's in brilliant condition and hasn't left my practice room for the week or so I've had it. Comes boxed with power supply, usb lead & a printout of the manual. Just looking to recover my money £165 posted
16. Well, I've loved this little amp for it's great sound and it's ridiculous portability - but having come into a bit of a cash bonus I splurged on an Aguilar AG500 as a bit of an upgrade (some might argue it a sideways move!) but the dual channel is very useful for me right now and erm...I wanted one This is in perfect working order & mint condition as I've always used it in its gigbag which is an awesome little thing. Only ever used for rehearsals and one gig a couple of weeks ago. Full spec can be seen at http://www.markbass.it/products.php?lingua...t=1&vedi=69 These things have rightly won a ton of awards in the last couple of years - I'm not entirely sure I won't regret this, but so it goes eh? Might give me an excuse to buy a higher end Markbass in a years time. Looking for £400 + postage for the amp & bag. I think thats a fair price as this would be around £600 new. Edit : on hold for a basschatter - awaiting payment.

Feedback for ~tl

Recently bought some Schaller tuners from Tom - very helpful with providing extra photos I requested, and lightning fast postage. Good work fella
18.
Hmm... I would LOVE to leave feedback here for Mr. Legion, but I'd need to buy something from him first...
lol, one day Micheal....maybe And thanks to the others for contributing to my overdue thread
19. After a fairly considerable amount of buying and selling here I kept forgetting to start a feedback thread... Better fix that, starting now
20. Bought Steve's Line 6 Basspod XT live - pleasure to deal with
21.
Sold One way or another
Congratulations - and thank god for that because I must have looked at this thread 100 times and drooled over that cab. Then I keep having to remind myself that I could neither fit it in my car, or lift it with my bad back... I'm still stunned it stayed here so long J
22. Could really do with these to replace the ones on my 70's reissue CIJ P bass which I find highly unimpressive - they should fit as far as I can tell? Bit of an expensive upgrade though and I'm slightly low on cash... Do they spin around like a teflon coated dream? I just need a little bit of sales talk J
23. Sent you a text Chris
24.
If so, I must add The Black Horse to my list of "Venues To Avoid Like ThePlague" too!! Assuming she is continuing her legendary career in the promotion of live music of course.
Only music Pub near the Corn Exchange is the Swan as far as I was aware (waiting for a gig there this month hopefully). Is the Black Horse the one by the Police Station that I've never been in? God I hope she hasnt become involved with the Swan in any way...
25.
Maybe the next Bass Day will be in Grundisburgh?
Made me laugh out loud...if I only we could afford the prices in mighty Grundisburgh /waves back from Ipswich Welcome Gundog
