  1. Groove is in the Heart - Deee-lite
  2. The heads themselves aren't that heavy - 12-13kg? - get yourself some modern lightweight cabs are Robert's your auntie's live in lover. BTW, great amp....
  3. Back in the late 80s we went to a Capital Radio Reggae Sunsplash event in Alexandra Palace. The artists - Ziggy Marley, Maxi Priest, et al, were using Simmons electronic drumkits - the technology was relatively new and not very reliable at that time. First artist came on and performed the full set however problems with the drumkits led to (roughly 45 minutes) delays with setting up the subsequent artists which led to their sets being around 15-25 minutes. Lots of unhappy punters and no suggestion of refunds. I think I still have the tickets in a safe place.
  4. Blue Suede shoes - can't remember who sang it though...😉😉
  5. Ridin on a train - The Pasadenas
  6. Somebody must be watching this... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kramer-DMZ-4000-Bass-Guitar-With-Aluminium-Neck/293777369420?hash=item44667ee94c:g:v6sAAOSwCRVfgwk8
  7. A classic line from Dean Friedman's Ariel I picked her up in my new VW van She wore a peasant blouse with nothing underneath I said "Hi", she said, "Yeah, I guess I am" Ariel, Ariel
  8. I've got one of these - impulse buy - never going to use it.
  9. Words I often use...generally just before buying something
  10. IIRC Scott Devine has a really well presented video on his site.
  11. Can't wait for the antithesis of this - "Over-rated"
  12. Pleeeeeease, no "theme from Scooby Doo"
  13. Had one, sold it....really shouldn't have.
  14. Keep one spare - guaranteed you'll need one as soon as they're all gone.
  15. Again, a contribution from Mr Bragg from his version of "Walk away Renee". "And every time I switched on the radio There was somebody else singing a song about the two of us..."
  16. A fitting epitaph for many of us I believe
  17. Ghosts - Japan
  18. If you're looking for a headless system avoid this one. Bulky and heavy the bass I have one fitted to suffers from the opposite of neck dive though it may be that the strap is fitted to the upper strap lock. Personally I've never had any issues with the Overlord systems but others speak of issues they've had because of the poor quality of the materials used.
  19. 2-4-6-8 Motorway - Tom Robinson
  20. You didn't need to remind me...I miss it too.
  21. Have Washburn lost their credibility? I remember when they were well respected (late 80s?) for building good quality basses. GLWTS
  22. I know that we've all done it - bought gear, fell in love with it but for some reason felt that we needed to move it on - only to kick ourselves when we sell it. (Add your own list.) I did this recently with a G&L M2000 - replaced it with a G&L Jazz which I moved on shortly after, replaced with a SB2 which I love. I've just had the opportunity to get my hands on another M2000 - hope it doesn't turn out that it's a case of reminiscing.
  23. Got this..
  24. Cocaine - Eric Clapton (this is allegedly the feeling that you get from Coke)
