  1. I think he has it back. Check the first post: Edited January 20 by AdhamBassPlayer
  2. Last few....case is available too.
  3. Looks like an ideal project for @Andyjr1515 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324583393290?hash=item4b92ad880a:g:OYsAAOSwPxNgf~ud Unfortunately, the truss rod nut has failed out of warranty, having either come unthreaded or broken, and just spins freely in its collar. The hex socket isn’t stripped and the nut is captive, so can’t be repaired or replaced by itself. Yamaha say they don’t supply replacement necks and that to replace the truss rod will need the fingerboard to be removed, a job that’s beyond my skill level and my pocket. Although technically “playable”, the neck relief can’t be altered as the rod cannot be tensioned, so I’m selling it for spares or repair only, it might suit someone as a project or to cannibalise for spares. Everything apart from the truss rod is in full working order and had only light, home use. A reserve has been added since I posted this.
  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294126193480?hash=item447b498b48:g:AtEAAOSwdU5geaiQ Vintage late 1970’s / early 1980’s - genuine WAL mk1 Bass Guitar hard shell case. This is from the early days of WAL - Ian Waller and Pete Stevens in High Wycombe. Condition is: Rough, but not rubbish. Bad bits: 3 of the 4 catches are broken / parts missing. There is one significant perforation by the logo. There are scratches all over it. There is gaffer tape residue on some of it. There are fine specs of white paint on it, (usual story - someone decides to paint their kitchen ceiling, but leaves the case in there! Happens a lot to Marshall amps too!). All metal parts have slight rust / tarnish on them. See pics.... Good bits: apart from the dent in the front, there’s no other damage to the shell. The interior is complete, no damage just well used. The leather handle, although tatty is complete. The two single hinges and the one long bottom hinge are all complete. Although slightly loose are fully functional. See pics.... You wouldn’t want to take your vintage WAL on tour with it! But if you have a very rare mk1 without a case, it would compliment it nicely. Auction only, no buy it now. It is listed with ebay global shipping. If your country is not listed, it’s not going there. Thanks for looking
  5. BB405 on Gumtree - is this a bargain? https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/yamaha-bb405-5string-bass/1378741389
  6. One for sale on Gumtree - used. Before looking have a guesstimate what a used sparkly 2020 MM (special edition apparently) might sell for. https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/music-man-ltd-edition-06-of-85-bfr-stingray-4-hh-bass-guitar-in-pink-champagne-sparkle/1403203782
  7. Get @Andyjr1515 to build you a chambered bass of any design/ hardware that you want. You'll get a custom bass for less than a new Fender/Musicman/etc.
  8. Mad eyed screamer - The Creatures
  9. Don't disregard Schroeder....
  10. Good buy... Be careful when posting a thread on whether to have a scratchplate, and if so which colour..😉😉
  11. Stone Ponies featuring Linda Ronstadt and Different Drum Generally I'm of the opinion that ads ruin songs - I didn't know this song before hearing it on the telly.
  12. Nightporter - Japan
  13. Let's have a party - Elvis
  14. Ashdown MAG300 at a stupid price (if you can get to Leicester) https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-bass-amplifiers/ashdown-bass-amp-head-mag300/1402238554
  15. Radio Africa - Latin Quarter
  16. All the girls in my year at school had a thing for the Bay City Rollers when I was a kid. They were everywhere for a while...then along came The Sex Pistols... RIP Lest we forget..
  17. I have a couple of dual bags - they rarely get used currently. Would recommend both/either https://www.amazon.co.uk/RITTER-BASS-GUITAR-RCG700-9-B-BLACK/dp/B002OGVZDY and one of these: https://www.free-scores.com/buy/double-housse-nylon-ibanez-idbb5-pour-basses-electriques-70196
  18. For £10.49 that would be a good buy for a Level 42 fan.
  19. Ten years ago £700 would have been a market value, not a bargain which is what most of us are after. Still, if it feels right it's worth every penny.
  20. For those with the £3k to buy a new MM wouldn't you be better "investing" in the earliest model you could find? Vintage MMs are selling for about that currently.
  21. Sweets for my sweet - The Searchers
  22. The Green, Green Grass of home - Tom (The Voice) Jones
  23. I haven't had a chance to listen to the tracks yet... Q: Are you a bit of a perfectionist by nature? If you made the changes you want to the tracks would other band members be happy with those changes?
  24. I struggle with heavy gauge strings so it's an absolute pleasure when I can find a light set of strings for a good price. Managed to find a stockist of Fender 7250 -5L (40-115 5 strings) for £17 in the UK. https://www.eesmusic.co.uk/ 18-19 Brookhouse Business Park, Brunel Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP2 0EF I rarely save a seller - not so with this shop - will be checking his stock on a regular basis. Ring the seller at 01473 217480
