I acquired a 6 string Spector a few days ago (Thanks @Tjhooker) and felt I needed to start at the beginning with some basic lessons. Found this on YT - really helpful for the beginner.

Yep, Sire another of the new fandangle modern range of basses build to an incredibly high standard and sold for virtually nothing. I wish they'd been built like this when I started playing. Oh, and BTW I have no issues with the shape of the headstock.

Buy yourself something you want you get to enjoy what your money bought and with a bit of luck you might get your money back, or, God forbid, make a few bob when it's time to sell. I did a trade with Tom - Yamaha 5er for a Spector 6er - spoilt only by Parcelforce Exeter holding on to the bass on the way back for an extra day. Great correspondence throughout - keeping both sides updated as to movements and delays (Exeter!!) - an absolute joy to do the deal. As Binky says Tom is an absolute credit to this forum - the type of person this forum is built on. Trade with confidence.
