  1. Amazing - exactly what we would expect from a market leader like Spector. Anybody want to buy a kidney??

  9. There are many sorts of disposable wipes now that will do the job. If you're worried you can buy the Ernie Ball ones which are designed for just this situation https://www.gak.co.uk/en/ernie-ball-wonder-ball-wipes/36025?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4NujBhC5ARIsAF4Iv6cCCQ19XBs0-k7Sfgi66k9iQhFR4k8-XHYZGmHbFYznu-ybKdBXxHQaAlf4EALw_wcB
  10. I bought a GB Rumour and loved it. I had a Status Kingbass at the same time but was so enamored by the Rumour that when a Spitfire came up I felt I had to jump on it. I traded the Kingbass for the Spitfire. Big mistake. The Spitfire, though a nice bass in it's own right, wasn't even half the bass the Rumour was, and didn't live up to my expectations. Needless to say, it didn't stay long and I wasn't able to get the Kingbass back. I eventually moved the Rumour on (for a lot less than the market price)...again another mistake. Sellers remorse is a real biitch.

  12. Martin Herrick will do this for you but it can cost around £40. He's got a few on eBay at the moment. https://www.herrickpickups.com/
  13. Mussel Bound - Spandau Ballet
  14. I think the price is right - the time may not be. Sometimes it just takes time for the right buyer to come along - don't cut your own throat by reducing the price just to sell. We've all done it and regretted it.

First time I picked up my SS Ray it felt like it was playing itself - remember those days? - days when playing was effortless, days before playing became physically strenuous - age does that - I joke with my aging friends that the MOT on this body has run out and it requires fixing up. Bad back? Got one...arthritis - yep, that too. Father Time conspires to take away that which we have always relied on. If a short scale bass allows us to cheat Father Time for a short while then so be it - I'll take any time or anything that allows me to keep playing.
