  1. £4.50?? I bet that there were people complaining about ticket prices at the time.
  2. Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice
  3. There was one on ebay recently - didn't look in any way special. I passed on it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325680904165?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aNIBP-b0SRK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  4. I'm not a big fan of either in their own right, I think that they compliment each other so I'm a PJ proponent ...Best of both worlds IMO.
  5. I have a cream neck pup cover somewhere...send me the measurements of the cover you need and I'll see if it would fit. Alternatively, PM superhero @rwillett who recently printed some pup surrounds for my Fender Modern Player.
  6. I think that there is definitely a place for cream pickups especially with a maple fretboard and a cream/ peach/ natural pastel palette. Like you I had a nightmare finding a cream PJ set but the effort was worth it IMO.
  7. New complication - which colour leather to use on the scratch plate??
  8. The Chicken Song - Spitting Image
  9. Spraying it on and wiping it smooth. Extra attention to the areas around the neck and the end grain.
  10. Private Beach Party - Gregory Isaacs
  11. Seeing the title I had visions of Mr Morrison being admitted to the Psych Unit...phew!!
  12. It's worked in the past with a custom bass which was played and passed on. I believe there was a happy ending - BCers tried the bass, builder got lots of feedback and it eventually went home to the builder (what was his name!!). Good idea...lots of positive karma.
  13. IIRC Mick's two Wals are in Cyprus with his wife. Starting bid of £7k - expect it to go for significantly more.
  14. Yeah but I think most people who have had dealings would prefer it to be these two...
  15. Just ran my hand over the oiled body of the bass - feels amazing. I'm going to leave it overnight for the oil to harden before doing any more work on it.
  16. I remember this bass - I think that I posted the original thread. I still think that it is a cracking looking Bass - with the right elements I'm sure it'll be a peach. Reading the list of parts and the work you have done I expect this to be an absolute corker. Following with interest.
  17. Nice example of what is already a nice bass. You may be sorry when it sells..
  18. Vincent - Jon McLean
  19. Pictures of Lily - The Who
  20. First coat yesterday evening, another coat earlier today. Will be looking at another coat around Teatime today. Hoping that 5 coats are enough - a couple each day means that I should be putting the bass back together at the weekend.
  21. "Thanks Mick (Mason) We really appreciate the payment in advance"..
  22. Love me two times - The Doors
  23. What have you done for me lately - Janet Jackson
  24. Fog on the Thai,n - Paul Gascoine
  25. Sadly, despite the reasons given, much of this "throwaway " gear will be working perfectly when all the Class D Amps we're currently using have given up the ghost and died and we'll all be reminiscing about how reliable it all was. As mentioned above, the best tone I can recall revolved around a TE (admittedly with Vanderkley cab). I have 5 stashed away.
