Me and my brother both had a vintage tube Blaupunkt lp player/radio thing which had a 16rpm speed. We'd just lob on the lp's at this speed.... instand half and down a full octave. Get to grips with the guitars and then gradually speed up the playing.

We were always getting confused with the "80's/90's post holocaust sounding monotonous robotic lifeless" 'Loop' so we changed our name to 'The Loop'. Their fans were posting reviews on I-tunes stating pretty awful sh1t about us... personal like.... just because we happened to have the same name of a band that had been defunct for about 13 years on and off (definately off now). Incidentally, our drummer thought of the name while having a crap!.... Don't know why I just mentioned that!! Nothing against 'electro-experimental mono-drone pop' but we are a million miles away from what they sound like. I think they forgot the meaning of 'melody'.... 'tune', even! Just my opinion.... in case someone goes all Jay-Kay on me!!

I keep describing this bass in private messages to potential buyers and have come to the conclusion that I must be a bloody crazy fool to even want to part with it!! Who cares if it doesn't come out to play much. This beauty is staying with me!! Sorry to anyone considering buying this. Several recent pm's have made me see the light, so to speak. Cheers guys! Still got one of these somewhere... think my brother has it. Remember stripping the finish off it and painting it purple-ish. Lovely bass IIRC.

Plenty of past threads about this guy who bought a CAR vintage Jazz only to discover a half decent refin. No refund from the seller but Lordy, this must have cost him a fortune in ebay fees, just to make a statement. How many 'auctions' has he posted about this now?

They get given to Michael Anthony about an hour into a gig and then are vaporised!!!
I suspect a lot are hidden away in a loft or garage somewhere, their original owner having died, moved on, changed direction in life. I bet if you set up a business locating these instruments (not just basses but all instruments) and did mass leaflet drops around some likely areas you'd liberate some valuable stuff, and of course a load of crap.

As for myself, & your question of my whereabouts for the last eleven years? HMP - so please cut me some slack!! Cheers
I actually meant the original youtube poster... not you! Personally I did cringe... purely because in 1986 I thought his bass playing was the bollocks. It would take more than this post to touch a raw nerve... even though MA is a personal inspiriation to me (please note 'personal inspiration does not mean extremely talented..... he made me pick up the bass!). So.... what were you in for? Crimes against Michael Anthony?

F##k me, character assasination or what?!!!! MA has NEVER professed to being the best bass player in the world and I doubt anyone would begrudge him a drink during a gig. But for someone to post a YT video under the headline 'DRUNK BASS SOLO' whilst said poster is (probably) serving at f##king McDonalds is a little sad. He's a showman. We know he can play better and we know other can play better.................... who cares!!! It's still Michael Anthony who will earn more in a month off the back of Jump than we can in a year!!!!! And to top it all, he's a really humble guy, if you read what is being said about the latest VH reunion. Also....... it's over ELEVEN years old this video.... original poster..... where have you been???? Jon bon Jovi was wearing Leather & Lace and Alec John Such was sticking his pout out so far it could've knocked out Ricky Hatton!! It's about the show!

Not back onto rabbits again are we? Personally, my wife keeps her rabbit in the bedside drawer... just have to blow off the fluff now and again! Ain't paying £200+ to compensate a fancy storage, blowy thing!! (only joking by the way..... she keeps it in a hutch!!!!! Trouble is, the batteries get weathered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) -

Not wanting to piss on your glowing embers... but have you checked the replacement? Is it working? As nice sounding as TE are.... IMHO they have some reliability issues with the new gear.
