1. One of my concerns buying the new 500 combo Rumble was the untested reliability question, using Aguilar and Genz gear for a good while now and never having been let down by them I had thoughts about the untested v3 Rumble gear. Roll on 7 months later and I have been using it almost exclusively for practices twice a week and a dozen or so gigs and it's been faultless. It's become my favourite for the tone and sound I'm after. As I have stated before I'm not sure if it's the combo's alone that knock out this killer tone or if the stand-alone heads and cabs do the same? I also have the TH500 and Shuttle 6.0 they won't be going anywhere but just not getting a look in with the slightly driven warm sound the 500 combo is giving me. Never owned any MB gear but know it's quality stuff and built to last... Guess it's all down to the sound you are after and what you think suits the music you are playing.
2. Put together a few clips from our last gig that a friend shot, (live sound) https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be
3.
Well seeing as Fender recently bought out Genz, maybe their Rumble amps are worth having a look at?
I had a Streamliner Lozz and think it doesn't sound anything like my rumble v3.. not sure if it's just down to the cabinets?
4. So much of it has been documented that I don't really think it's that hard to get what the Beatles were about. (even as individuals) Edit to say.. same as the Stones for that matter.
5. Yes, you can't go wrong having a Jazz in the arsenal.
6. Paul. Lemmy got it right.
7.
You just don't get this calibre of thread about Kanye West, do you?
Who's Kanye West?
8. All this love for Paul. Maybe I should post this in the claim to fame thread .. I once stood and chatted with Paul whilst using the urinal at the same time as him (Kn*b in hand lol)
9. Great. Enjoyed that a lot.
10. Fantastic. Luckily for me that's a bit too rich for my blood. I might add the best Precision I own is one I bought off Simon. He certainly know's his basses.
11. Like some of their other stuff but not that version Roxanne.
12.
You've all been had http://worldnewsdail...-by-look-alike/
Hahaha. Ringo's not lost his sense of humour then.. I guess it gets boring for him doing the same type of interviews for the past 50 odd years.
13. I'm not sure how much of that new Rumble sound actually comes from the amp. If that's what your looking for? I have a shuttle 6 that sounds very different to the rumble.Like chalk and cheese Both nice in their own way. The Rumble sounds a lot more aggressive and punchier and warmer to my ear and that's what I like with this combo. As a stand alone cab I have no idea how they sound.
14.
Is it any good though?
For that price I would say yes, as long as you don't intend moving it about much.
15. Got the idea from Scott's post on FB. Nothing too dramatic from me to start.
16. I always like this one for the feel good factor, https://www.youtube....h?v=2_9QooYDYtU
17. That is good to hear Lozz. I had a mate that went along, have to ask him about it. I haven't played the 100 Club in over 30 years.
18. Thanks. I somehow missed this the first time round. Fair enough to say that if I worked through all that and got it down, it would improve my bass playing and composition10-fold.
19. Congrats. That's one to hang on to.
20.
Great! Don't forget your music stand.
lol. They're only for posers!
21. Nice one. Enjoy the experiance.
22. I have now decide without a doubt that out of all my P basses my 73 P, has the best sound and feel (so no P gas to be found).. one small step..
23.
SVT and 8X10 incoming..?
Where's the like button
24. Here's one more for you, a short clip from last Saturday, the GoPro was just picking a mix of the on stage sound and what I had going through my monitor. My personal experience is that they are ok for audio, but the Zoom's get you much better sound quality. I have the Zoom Q2 HD (you get video with it as wel)l, not as versatile as the GoPro video wise , it's a bit of a trade off. I think the Hero 4 is out now and have no idea if the sound quality is any better with that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhpQMq9yccc&feature=youtu.be
25. After using a full-on SVT Classic and 810 at the last gig.. I now know what all the fuss was about
